using a shop vac to suck the dust out of air cooled digi ballast?

noticed my aircooled digi ballasts are getting a bit dusty, i have a shop vac with a ton of suction and was going to put the hose up to the ballast exhaust fan hole and using the pressure to suck out the dust. I don't have any canned air and im not trying to buy any... my only concern about doing this is, is the suction too strong? Maybe it could suck a wire or connection something loose and i dont need that right now lol

You're good to go.

Only concern I would have is over-revving any fans mounted to the case. The inside of your ballast doesn't have any easy breakables in it. :)

Keep it Clean! :D

Should work. Hell, I've routinely blown out supposedly sensitive electronics with 120 psi compressed air for decades. Never an issue.
