you have 2 options,,
#1 Beneficial Nematodes

First fill a spray bottle with water and the appropriate amount of nematodes, according to the package instructions. Shake the bottle lightly to mix. Nematodes are tiny, live, parasitic worms that infect many soil-dwelling insects, including root aphids. You can buy nematodes at garden centers or hydro shops. These all-natural biological agents kill root aphids within a few days and are completely harmless to earthworms, plants, animals and people. Nematodes are a natural way to control garden pests. Water the soil around the plant you intend to treat with nematodes so it is moist.
Spray the nematode mixture onto the soil around the root aphid-infested plant until the ground is wet. The nematodes will begin to penetrate the soil and will begin to kill the root aphids in 24 to 72 hours. You may water your plants at any time after application -- there is no need to wait. The nematodes will continue to control pests that could damage your plants for months and you can reapply them if the aphids return.

Option #2
Pyrethrum

Spray a pyrethrum-based insecticide to the soil around the root-aphid infested plant.Try not to breathe in this shit. Pyrethrum is a natural, organic insecticide that is derived from the chrysanthemum flower. It is toxic to root aphids and many other garden pests, but safe to use around animals and children at the concentrations recommended for garden use.

Water the plant lightly to wash the pyrethrum deep into the soil. Let the plant sit for 12 hours before watering again. The pyrethrum will begin to kill root aphids within hours.

Reapply pyrethrum every two to three weeks or after heavy rains during the growing season to prevent root aphid reinfestation. good luck bro

put the infested soil in your compost pile, in between layers of your greens and browns, let it hot compost (kill the bugs), use again.
the plastic bags...ack...you'll have to trash dispose of them environmentally.
i hate plastic containers.
if it was EVER living...recycle by composting

I'm in same situation. Gave my guy a bunch last year for his veggie garden, he let it sit in pile then tilled it in. He had no issues. I have a yard or two sitting covered I'm intending to mix with compost and till it in. Might be different in pots, but I'm not anticipating any issues after it sat.

I just started using DE because of a huge RA problem. I'm washing it and screening at the same time before I use it. I'm about to do a dirt run and I was thinking that adding DE to the soil mix would keep the little fucks at bay. Is this a good assumption? I just started to top dress a few mothers with it. I worked it into the first few inches of dirt. I also planted some clones into 100% DE, good idea?

Once it gets moist it's pretty much shit on fighting any pests. But if your used soil is dry I would def add it in and mix thoroughly, let set for another month or so. I would also do a neem soak right before transplant

Eureka Springs Organics

Soil drench neem tea full strength, and you won't have any critter issues. 1 cup of neem cake bubbled for 48 hours in a tea brewer, and then apply. Do that every 3 days 4 or 5 times in a row, and you won't have shit in there.
