USED CO2 TANK

wanting to run classified for co2 tank, already have the regulator, surely it would be cheaper than new one...? if asked, what's a good answer for their use?

Paintball, trust me no one will question you on that. Even if they do it's something easy to make up stuff about.

Bulk tanks are used to fill up small tanks and people who play a lot often have bulk CO2 tanks or scuba tanks for compressed air.

I wouldn't worry about excuses but do make sure that the tank has the right valve in it and has an up-to-date hydrostatic test date stamp. Otherwise you might have to spend more money to have these things done to the tank before CO2 supplier will fill it. CO2 tanks have to be hydrostatically tested every 5 years so do not buy it if its stamp(on the upper curve of the tank) is older than 2002.

Ok this is what I do...and it works great for me.

I go to this Beverage / Soda Events place....Look in the yellow-pages phone book under Beer / Beverage and you may seem some companies listed.

Call them and ask them if they rent CO2 tanks.

Mine does...and all they require is a $35.00 deposit for the tank. They charge 16 bucks to fill it...and now when I am out of CO2 I just take the empty tank back, give them 16 more bucks and they then give me another tank (most places don't fill the tanks at the locations) So if you buy a tank and use it all up....when you go to the company to refill it...they will most likely give you a completely different tank. So if you can find a place that works on deposits...then that is much better cause you will get all of your money back when you are all done with everything. Also then you don't have an empty CO2 tank laying around to stub your toe on.

Now like I said earlier...This works for me and maybe it can work for you also.

Take care,

I keep a Co2 tank for reason #3(Homebrew beer) and I hope to use it for reason #2(paintball) soon too. I've never used it for growing, but who knows down the line.

Whats the benefits of getting a generator as opposed to getting tanks ?? Is the supply longer lasting and cheaper in the end ??

The generator produces CO2 by burning propane. Pound for pound, the propane will produce 4-5 times it's own mass in CO2. Propane tanks are more common, with many homeowners having refills delivered to their house tank (like fuel oil).

Produces C02 :yoinks: !!! Hehe, yeah I know Vern, thanks for the info non the less.

So a 40 lb. canister of propane (average tank size for BBQ grill ??) , after its been burned , converts to roughly 120-140 lbs. of C02 , correct ?? If 40 lbs is indeed the size of an average BBQ tank, which i can't quite remember what it is, I know that the refill those tanks is roughly 15 bucks plus another 10-20 bucks if you're getting a new tank ...

So its safe to say for the initial couple hundred dollar investment you're going to see FAR more return of your dollar in the long run when using a propane burning generator ?? They dont give off any harmful Ozone do they ?? Also i'm assuming they are harder to regulate than straight c02 tanks ?

Thanks a million homies !!!

Time to :joint: and navigate the dreamscape ... zzzZZZzzz

with co2 gas their is no flame and no heat produced. using propane is cheaper tho and any heat created by propane burning just makes em grow faster as using co2 allows for higher temps.co2 gas is best for small grows. have yet to see a huge grow or greenhouse using co2 gas.
