urine

just wondering how effective piss really is when growing... a few buddies of mine have had great success with it, but only when diluting it with water(at least 1:6) or naturally the high nitrogen would cause problems... just wanted to get some more feedback before I experimented with it myself

My ex boyfriends brother used to use it as a regular part of his nute process. It worked wonderful for him. His plants were always fuggin awesome. I always thought it would make the plants smell, but they never did.

I'm sure it's effective to some degree, but since the N levels would differ greatly depending on your diet, and since there's no real way to measure the concentration, why not just use an organic fert?

It depends alot on what you are eating. If you eat sh*t, you piss sh*t.
(not literally-although it would be interesting :biglaugh:)
Why ever bother. I personally wouldn't put my plants in jeopardy over some piss. Go buy some fish emulsion. Good organic source on N.
Good Luck

I guess that explains why he used it... He's a vegetarian and eats fruits and veggies all day... does the whole smoothie in the morning followed by a shot of wheat grass, brown rice, steamed vegetables, and salmon for lunch... stirfry for dinner... just all day fruits, veggies, very little cheese, lots of fish... Protein heaven for the plants... :biglaugh:

If I'm not mistaken Ed Rosenthal said if you have no nitrogen ferts, one cup of urine to a gallon of water is a good way to put nitrogen on your plants. I don't remember him mentioning diet or that sort of thing...Good luck. Peace. :canabis: TJ

animal urine (cows , horses , donkey's , goats , sheep , has a better nutrient level , than a human

all the best bio organic comp's use animal urine as a base nutrient , then seaweed , plant matter

peace

Notice that hallucinogen is talking about animals that don't eat meat. I read along time ago that you don't use anything from a carnivor. So no dog or cat poop, etc for the plants.
For a couple of bucks you can buy some good ferts in the store and don't need to worry whether it's safe or not.

There are far to many cheaply availble urea based fertilizers to ever make peeing in your plants an option to consider. Maybe when the apocalypse comes and Home Depot aint there anymore, I'll do it. Until then, no way.

Besdies, in order to properly use human urine on plants, you have to pee in a container and let many days of pee mix together and "cure" for a month or more......

.......need I say more?

I saw a kid on OG,

I know he was a kid because of what he said.

He was drinking his own urine to get high. He said his urine had THC in it. Because the drug test came back positive, he thought THC was actually in his urine, so he drank alot and was asking why he didn't get a buzz! I wish I could have reached through the PC and slapped him.

lol reading these posts! I have heard the expression "pissin up a tree" but not pissin on your plants. I would think the salt content in yer urine would be a bit much for the ladies...Hey, how come my smoke tastes like salt cod? hehe.
Peace, Willie

John, I know in the hands of people who know what they're doing, human urine will work as a fertilizer. It's just that the things you have to do to make it usable require a barn or something. No small indoor/hobby grower should even consider it

If anyone knows who master gardener Jerry Baker is then you would know about all of his "tonics" that use human urine......and what Cap said about curing the urine--Baker says the older the better.....I do have his "green-up tonic" around here somwhere if I could just find it...of course it's for your lawn and not a pot plant!!! :biglaugh:

Gawd John, I want to grow outdoors in the worst way. I'd piss in jugs all day long to be able to fertilize an outdoor plant or two. I guess I have a repressed green thumb
