Hey guys i have a weblike around my roots under my rockwool in the small space, its causing my rootrot is there some sort of spider that is doing this or is this some sort of mold or mildew?
Is your rockwool alge like and green?
What system you growing in?
We need more information so we know where we can start as there is a lot of things that can cause that.
Web like is caused by spidermites, but they don't mess with roots, only the leaves.....
You have any bugs that fly?
How big are your plants? You check on the underside of your leaves?
Hey stitch thankyou soo much for you checking out my thread, i totally respect everything you do for the infirmary forum and i look to your thread with the plant problems everytime i have one. Thankyou soo much.
Anyway my RW cubes are 4x4 with a cover on top so they have a slight algea growth on them only where the light penetrate like the outline of the top side of the rw. My system is flood and drain and i've notice this problem to a few plants that i've check that is it, this one that im about to show you the next one to it has alot of root but not a problem like this one has but is next to it. This problem spreads throughout my whole tray I hope not to other tray which will kill me. Here are some photos, you can notice that the left side has been infected then i touched it and kinda wipe it out, then that rot will work its way up into the roots upward into the RW cube. I got other plants like this that doesn't grow anything more no more white roots.
Are you hand watering your rock wool cubes?
If so stop, your over watering them, mix 1 tsp per gallon of h202 3% and it will kill it, your not sitting in water like hydro so you will be alright, h202 is bad to use for hydro, because it does kill both good and bad bacteria and removes the plants defense system.
If you have some sm90 somewhere that will help rid of it too, but The watering if you are hand watering needs to be not as often or not so much every watering.......
Thanks for the props man truly appreciate it
Sorry took so long to get back to ya, I have been hella busy from the time I wake up to the time I get ready for bed I am always doing something non stop,
hey stitch thanks so much for your time, no need to apoligize you have a load on your hand with your knowledge. It was yes sort of hand watering i was manually flooding then the entire tray got that thing the white fuzzy thing, as you can see the left side had the fuzz then the roots start dieing the right size the white fuzz is new. What is that white fuzz?
