Undercover Infestation - HELP!!!!

I'm 4 weeks into flower with Nirvanas Swiss Cheese.
So far so good, until i spotted something today . . . . .

Gave them their watering and in the immediate few seconds after noticed small green things all over the top of the soil. I dont have a camera good enough to take pictures but they were green, long but only a few mm in length. There seemed to be loads of them!!

Anyway, i jumped straight onto ICMAG to see if anyone else had anything similar and came across fungus gnats.

I went back into my grow tent to have another look and they were gone!!

Anyone have any ideas?? I'm very very worried!!

off the top of me head sounds like thripz.......
try sprinkeling dry garlic powder on top layer of soil.......should drive them nutez...enuff to flee...........

Ive been doing a bit more research and found these couple of posts on another forum - anyone heard of SPRINGTAILS?
I wonder if this could be it potentially? I will be watering with some crushed garlic though just in case!!

try the dry garlic sprinkle ontop with some perlite, that should definitely get them to leave. where did u read about watering with garlic?
