Unclear water after 5 days

Hi guys
I was wondering if my water is still healthy, because i can't see bottom anymore. It's only 5 days old, and i put some h2o2 in it, but it's not completely clear. I can see 1' down. During feeding the water is clear when in the low tray, but in res. it seems unclear. I don't use an airpump or anything in it. Just the water pump for feeding. The plants seem very happy though. Just wondering if this was a problem i should do something about?

No light gets down there, so why not clear?

but maybe someone else can chime in and help out. . .

yeah is it from your nutes? you should put an aerator in you rez or make the water waterfall onto the table. i hear some bad things about ebb n flow n its roots not gettin enough oxygen down the road as they get clogged.

edit: it might also just be the tint from your rez making the water look unclear

no problem...

an airstone is an obvious upgrade that would make any hydro system run smoother. Adding oxygen to a hydro system is like adding fuel to a fire. The more you can add, the bigger the flame. I've even gone as far as adding airstones to the table that the pots sit in. Of course the airstones in the table would be on the same timer as the water pump that floods, so that when the flood starts the stones kick on and the table fizzes...:)

From the beginning of time there has always been the struggle between good and evil...it is everywhere around you. Even in your reservoir! There is a struggle going on right now that we can't see. It's the struggle between anerobic bacteria, and aerobic bacteria. Anaerobic bactera is bad bacteria, and like the name suggests it thrives in low oxygen environments, and can cause all sorts of problems for the hydoponicist. Aerobic bacteria is the beneficial good guys. The good guys thrive in a well oxygenated environment and help with lots of plant functions including warding off anaerobic bacteria.

So to recap:
Anaerobic = low oxygen = bad bacteria = root rot = crop failure
Aerobic = high oxygen = beneficial bacteria = clean system = no rot = succsss!

You haven't been talking to the right people...

Ebb n flow is one of the easiest systems to dial in and max out...not a whole lot of things that can go wrong that would require diagnosis. No drippers to clog or misters involved so no clogging. You flood and drain, nothing is simpler.

Thank you very much, guys. helped me a lot. I'm gonna put a little airstone in the res. and just keep it going all them time - that'll help those good guys, Kokua, hehe! Yes, i find it a VERY easy, clean growsystem, the Ebb&Flow. Check out my new ebb&flow system for the flowering room. It's gonna be awsome.
Tx again, guys
