Hello peeps

Welcome to Uncle Remus' first ever grow log...I'm gonna show peeps a whole run of my KILLER, skunkified C99 from cloner to harvest...Bear with me with if you will, this is the first time I've attempted anything like this...So lets pull up a seat, pack your fav smoking instrument, and get cracking

The C99 I run is a dank ass pheno I found from these beans so generously give to me from a fellow IC member...http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=47110&highlight=feminized...I popped 2 and got 2 distinct phenos...I thought I had gotten a pineapple and a grapefruit pheno...Pretty standard C99 stuff...My QUEEN smelled more like grapefruit and I almost culled her from the garden because she wasn't "pineapple" enough, but she was the heavier yielding plant and I decided on her for that reason...WHOA what a stroke of good fortune!!!

After the cure upon opening a jar I was greeted with the most powerful, almost overwhelming skunk/Skittles scent...This stuff is so odorous that its almost impossible to have any on your person, and I mean ANY!!! Better have it in a spacecase or something because the scent permeates literally ANYTHING...A quick bowl revealed 2 hit power, and crazy candy/hash flavor...More than 2 hits and you better have your seat belt on...She's also SUPER easy to clone, a light feeder, and gets some crazyass branching when scrogged (we'll see this later in the program peeps)...Basically everything a dope smoker could ask for...Oh yea, I forgot to mention I harvest her at 45 days with EXCELLENT results

Hmmm

Thought I'd post a few pics before I step out...This pheno looks VERY similar to the pics Rez posted in the Reservoir Seeds forum...Looks like real-deal original C99 genetics to me...I test harvested her at different times (45, 50, 55 days) to see the differences and came to the conclusion that 45 days was just right...Eye candy???

Here's a quick rundown of my gear...Most of my equipment is DIY...I wire everything myself, make my own scrog screens, ect...Only things not DIY is basically my A/C reflector and the Stanley blower...I get GREAT results using cheap readily available parts that can be purchased anywhere

Veg cabinet: 30"w x 15"d x 60"t Reflectex bubble stuff...4 20w Phillips Alto tubes 6400k (Home Depot)...1- 120mm heavy duty computer-like fan powered with an adjustable voltage 12VDC adapter from Radio Shack (this allows fan speed control)...There's also a temp/humidity readout and a 5" hanging fan that blows on the bulbs...DIY mini scrubber handles veg chores with no problems...Here's a few picks















Flower closet: 42"w x 22"d x 96"t...Reflectex bubble stuff...400w CMH in a Sunlight Solar6 hood...Can 2600 scrubber, modded Stanley blower (1 year running 24/7 ...A few assorted hanging fans...Pics

I'm actually a few weeks ahead of this...I wanted to be able to have time to post pics and stuff...A few years ago I tried bubblers and became hooked on the ease and simplicity on the whole method...Basically a no brainer...Mix your nutes once a week, top off with water...How much simpler does it get???

After a few runs with some real stretchers I decided try my hand at scrog...With my current light/blower/scrubber setup I am somewhat restricted on vertical height...So I built a few PVC screens and mounted them on top of my bubble-tubs and gave it a go

Enuff babbling, lets get the show on the road...I plan on updating every week...I'll detail my feeding schedule, ph stuff, you know

So heres a few C99 clones in the good old bubble cloner...Magic little invention...100% success, 100% of the time...All I use is plain old tap water, pH'd to 6.0...Keep 1/2" of the lower part of your clones in the water and change the water out every 4-5 days

I try to keep temps a little warmer in the cabinet while cloning...The exhaust fan is rated at 78 cfm at 12VDC...I set the voltage to 7.5VDC (equals 48 cfm) and turn the other hanging fan off...Keeps temps right around 76 with lights on 24...Pretty much nothing else to see for a while...Cloner pics:

Here's the simplest, most cost effective piece of equipment EVERY grower has to have...I have never lost a clone using this method, EVER in 2+ years...Costs about $35 or so with the air pump but it's worth every penny

Tub is a shoebox Rubbermaid from Walmart...So is the air pump, bubble curtain, air line, ect...I use "backer-rod" to hold my clones in place...It can be found at Home Depot and other hardware chains...Its used to fill large voids between windows and concrete walls, ect...The 1" thick size is perfect for cloning...I cut it to length, hollow out the middle a bit (gentle grip on cuts) and place clones inside...The holes in the top of the tub are 15/16"

Just be sure to keep the lower 1/2" of your cuts IN the water...Align the bubble curtains so the bubbles break directly under each of the cut's...Top with water as needed


OK Fast sorward to day 14 in the cloner...A quick peek at our clones doesn't reveal much, or does it?





Doesn't look like much does it folks? After 2 weeks you'd think there'd be more to see?

A little more FF and here we are at day 23 in the cloner...Well it looks like things have taken off a bit...All 4 of my C99 clones look good...Nice, healthy, and most important, ready for some nummie-nums:








One thing I forgot to mention about the cloner...I usually change the water every 4-5 days...Gonna try to edit this in STONER

So that's what kinda results I get...No gels, no special powders...Just a waste of $$$ IMO...Plain water works great...Now what is so hard about that...I've just debunked the "voodoo" of cloning...BUILD ONE...They work

Next update the clones will have been transplanted into the veg "barrels" and will get their first meal...Stay tuned

Color me jealous. Used "properly" my bubbler killed everything I put in it. Next time I'll try the water changes. Maybe the sixth time will be the charm.

Thanks...The buckets are actually small barrels of "cheeseballs" that I purchase at the local Kmart...After we eat them up I reuse the empty containers...Each holds approx 1.25 gallons of nutes

FreezerBoy Color me jealous. Used "properly" my bubbler killed everything I put in it

I've been using one for over a year now and couldn't be happier...I think the water changes are important...The temps are pretty cool here and my present set of clones are taking their sweet time rooting (19 days and no roots yet)...I gotta pick up one of those seedling heating mats

I get roots early as 4 days. I would also worry bout light getting to the rooter resevoir.

Hi peeps...Here's a quick update...These are taken the week before I flip...I flush for 1 week before the flip...Here's before I start training...You can see how much they've shot up in just 7 days:

As you can see from a previous post, I never have problems getting roots...The 3 weeks or so it takes for the clones to root works right into my rotation...I take my cuts the first week or so of 12/12...Figure it takes 3 weeks to root the clones (taht puts my plants at 4 weeks of 12/12 so far), another 3 weeks for vegging the clones (6-7 weeks of 12/12 total time), and I'm ready to flip the clones immediately after I harvest...This C99 is done in 45 days so right after harvest I throw the clones right in...Its a constant cycle

As for light-proofing the res, I find I don't need to...By changing the H20 every 3-4 days, you really don't give algae time to get established...The cold twmps kinda took me off guard, hene the delay in rooting...Nothing a $12 dry/moist heating pad from the local CVS Pharmacy couldn't fix

And NO, I would NEVER use any hormones ...No need so why waste the $$$...I'm on a tight budget, thats why I D.I.Y. as much as possible

OK...Been a few weeks so I'm gonna update with a couple weeks worth here:

Preflower week, this is when I start tying down the shoots and the crazy branching starts happening...Plants get flushed prior to flowering and I start dropping 1 hour of light over the course of the week until I'm at 12/12















Here's after the first week of flower...This is when she starts to really stretch her legs...Lots of bending and tying down at this stage:

DAMN...Didnt realize I posted the same week twice...Fukin stoner

Ok, I guess I'll jump ahead to AFTER the first week of 12/12...Stretching now, LOTS of tie downs and tuck unders...This is when the branching gets goofy...
















Now here's after the 2nd week of flower...All the budsites are really pronounced now..Stretching still continues altho its starting to slow down...She'll usually stretch for 25-28 days then she's done...This is when I also remove ALL growth from under the screen:
