Ultimate Fighter Finale

Oh my god.. I hope some other people saw this, cause I got to see 2 of the best fights ive ever seen.

The middleweight fight between Kendall and Ed was AMAZING, they went 3 whole orunds, dead even pretty much the entire time. Kendall got the choke at the end of the 3rd though I think, with like 30 seconds left but somehow Ed held out til the bell rung without tapping.

Then the light heavyweight match was just nuts. It was between that british dude, and Josh, and they just slugged it out for like 2 rounds. You could tell the british dude was the better fighter, but Ive never seen someone take as many punches/knees/elbows as Josh did, and still keep fighting. Like before they broke it up, probly the entire 20-30 seconds before that, he was just getting ROMPED, blood everywhere, takin huge blows to the face, but he kept gettin up and holding his ground.

Hah I was on the edge of my seat for both fights, soo sick.

Man I totally agree both those fights were so good. The one with ed and kendall was sooo nuts I don't know how they didn't score that one a tie. Ed is a damn good fighter so I gotta give it to kendall on that one.

And bisping is a fucking machine. I can't believe josh just kept getting up and getting out of those submissions.

Pretty funny how the main event ended so quick with that armbar too haha.

UFC 60 had one of the better mixes of everything. Plus Royce Gracie learned hes a bit too old to be scrapin with matt hughes.

I know! THey said that Bisping had a professional record of 12-0 or something like that. You can just tell that hes not a dude youd wanna post up against, he just looks so solid and precise when he fights, it was insane. I was in awe at how many submissions Josh Haynes kept getting his way out of.

The Gracie and Hughes fight was sick too. Ya gotta hand it to Royce Gracie though, he was one of the best. Im wondering how the Ortiz and Shamrock fights gonna be.

I'm sorry people... but the whole reason behind the ultimate fighter show is to take low quality, sub-par athletes, that are willing to kill eachother for 1,000 and make them up to be the best fighters in the world... all of those fighters are low class bums... except for maybe one or two... the dude was fat!!! heeheh what kind of world class athlete has flabby fat skin hehehheheh !!! They are low class cheap athletes that the ufc can get to beat eachother up for pennies heehheheh oh well just my two cents... I was bored by the whole night!!!... that dude with the blue hair looked like he tried to eat a sloppy big mac with ketchup with no hands heheheheh.... I just want to see Tito beat down Shamm-rock, but I'm not going to pay for the pay per view... :) peace

well I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one that watched the marathon yesterday.

the UFC of Gracie's time was a much different thing back then you had to fight more then 1 fight a night it was a tournament and they were much different fighters back then, the fighters of today are a much more rounded fighter and they know months inadvance who they will fight, which boxing has shown can be a great advantage. Not trying to take anything away from Matt Hugh cause he is probably the greatest fighter for his weight class, but ten years ago in the tournament style event I don't think he would have the record he has now.

Ed Herman is a joke.

He talked all that smack about being the best guy there, and he looked like shit in all three fights I saw him in. I thought it was awesome that Tito didn't pick to be on his team, and then didn't pick Ed to fight until last, which really pissed Ed off. Then after the end of the show, Tito invites Kendall to train in Tito's camp.

You know Ed must have been so pissed off to hear this.

Then Kendall beat Ed's ass in the fight almost choking him unconscious.

Then they showed Ed's trailer park Mom and Step dad on camera when Ed announced that after sixteen years or whatever that they were gonna makes it official tie the knot, what a coincidence: they just happened to be in Vegas for the fight.

Ed is a loser, unkay.

I really loved it when Salmon- the black dude with the messed up grill- was talking all that smack to Rory, then Rory knocked him out cold. I also liked it when Ed pissed in Rory's head gear and then put it back in his locker, that was pretty cool.

That finale makes up for all the boring fights they had on the show.

thats steeply harsh (though they do get paid peanuts). These people do have real potential.

Plus look at Matt Hamil, how could you say he's a sub-par athlete when he's an Olympic Gold medalist in wrestling?

it actually bothered me quite a bit that ed received a contract as well. i realize he lasted until the end of three rounds, and yeah, it was a close fight, but i don't think the fight was anything like the forrest griffin fight where they were just pulling out every last bit of strength to throw a punch.

also, ed's cocky attitude really made me want him to lose in a horribly evil way.

If you go through the fight again you will see that Ed is pretty much ontop of Kendall the whole entire fight, feeding him elbows and was even going for some submissions in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. The only reason Kendall won is because judges probly thought Ed was gunna tap out at the end getting choked out. They both deserved contracts. Anyone else think ken did a really shitty job of coaching? The only people on his team that were any good, came to his team as good fighters in the first place(Ed and Kalib).

Why are there no real strongmen anymore?

I'd MUCH rather go watch totally amazing feats of strength anyday over watching a bunch of testosterone-monkeys pummel each other into a bloody pulp.

Seeing an 80 yr old drive 4 inch nails thru sheet metal and wood with the palm of his hand is way more interesting than UFC, IMHO.......

^ thats all mind over matter stuff though. of course strength plays a part in it too, but once you have the technique down Im sure it wouldnt be hard at all.

UFC fighters definitely participate in one of the toughest sports around.. its great watching people from different martial arts backgrounds actually post up against each other, instead of just sparring or whatever.

For all the guys saying they pay them pennies... They get 5000$ US if they knockout or tapout an opponent in any fight on the show, and if they win they get an contract with the UFC for 100,000... Not to bad for fighting someone.. I also agree Ed Herman is a bum.. I hate his sloppy ground and pound style which he can't even do well. Michael Bisping is a good fighter but compared to the guys he will be up against he will stand no chance... he can't take a punch that well either, if you rememember back Ross Pointon almost ended the fight with a right hand to the chin... Josh Haynes was a fucking slob too who could just take a beating. I do agree most of these fighters are low class and should never be in the UFC, but every fighter on the show has professional mma fights wheter it be in King of THe Cage or another lower MMA league.

The way I see it though if your that good a fighter you will not need some reality show to get yourself a contract like all the great fighters out there today. Don't forget Round 2 of the Pride Open Weight is on July 2nd and UFC PPV is on July 8th!!

I watched a rerun of the finale and the best part was catching 3 half hour HBO on demand shows inbetween the fights. And by far UFC 60 was better.
