Wow, freedom strikes a blow  but tyranny is still on the horizon... :spank:

Britain's police force yesterday declared that he new draconian ‘stop and question’ counter-terrorism powers were "unnecessary" arguing that such measures were counter-productive as they eroded the public trust in the police.

“If we want to set back community-police relations and return to the bad old days of the ‘sus’ laws of the ‘70s and ‘80s, when levels of mistrust between police and public were at record highs and had drastic consequences, then the introduction of a new blank cheque power to stop and question anyone, anywhere, anytime without reasonable grounds for suspicion, is a very quick way of achieving this," Len Duvall, chair of the Metropolitan Police Authority, said. “Neither the Metropolitan Police Authority nor the Metropolitan Police Service have called for this power because we understand the serious damage it could cause to the police’s relationship with London’s communities."

"We have all worked hard to build mutual trust, cooperation, respect and understanding between police and the people they serve. Do we really want to jeopardise this by introducing powers that set us back 30 years?" Duvall questioned.

Under Section 44 of the Terrorism Act, Police can already stop and search anyone without having to demonstrated ‘reasonable grounds," but under the proposed new regulations a police officer can ask that individual who they are or where they are going, and withholding such information is an offense punishable with a £5,000 fine.

“While the MPA recognises the need to use all available tools to prevent terrorism, we are determined these tools should be as transparent and publicly accountable as possible,” Duvall added.

its interesting isn't it. I live in a free country but our police have the power to do that for many many years now...stop and question but not search at random... its kind of back to the front.... but it is good to see some decency from the inside for a change.

after all police are people too with families....clearly some don't like the way things are going. Ah... for the good ol days when a police officer was someone who had automatic respect (cause they deserved it) and was there to serve and protect..... thats serve and protect not sever....

Dude, freedom in a political system is impossible. Anarchy is the only way to go. But anarchy fails because there are always rebels and with out a heirarchy of power, you can't do much about them. So in conclusion: Plato had it right, go fuck yourselves - especially American liberals. Legalize Marijuana and integrate a tri-presidential system of "philosopher kings", and I will be there.

There is no perfect system but fascism and totalitarianism is where we (as a whole planet) is headed... unless there is a true revolution... I think we should be happy for a true democracy with more than 2 parties (whose policies are almost identical)

Full spectrum dominance is very close... think space platforms scanning and tracking every square inch of our planets surface... microchips in next generation of humans... talking CCTV commanding you to OBEY! (spoken naturally enough in a small childs voice..)

'stop, question and full body search' was a right for police in venezuela prior to our new bolivarian constitution; now cops can't stop you, can't search you nor ask for id without a strong probable reason. can't go to jail for having less than 20grams of cannabis (2 of cocaine and heroin i think) either; can only hold you for 8 hours and then send you to a detox clinic paid by the state.

silver surfer og, hello man,
venezuela is all about tourism; snowed andes mountains, amazon and tropical beaches :D anything you want. although the cannabis is just lowgrade colombian for the most part. in some big cities you find good indoor grown bud but at u.s prices, so it is expensive.
sometimes you can find fresh quality colombian bricks though, excellent smoke.
this is a beautiful place for tourism (even the cities are nice if you move around with non-idiotic locals), roads are prime, transportation whether air, land or sea are prime too. nice places to stay all over the place too.
but still lacking on the quality herb though.
your nick is the coolest btw, silver surfer is the man :joint:

peace!
