Hey folks, I've. not seen much information or reviews of this specimen, so thought I'd do one.
The cultivar is ugorg #1 from Under ground originals seed company. The lineage is Exodous cheese x Blues/livers. The parents are both clone only cuttings popular in the UK. Origins are not 100% known, but rumoured to be sensi seed skunk #1 1980s stock.
I've always loved proper UK cheese. If you've smoked cheese pre 2005 you've had the real deal. Everything going around now is tepid, watered down crap cheese. I'd given up growing it as was dissapointed in the results. Even Big Buddha, which was the best along with blue cheese, have both changed and don't seem the same. The blue cheese had a pheno which seemed more cheesier than the BB cheese.
So after doing some research online I heard about the hype around Ugorg #1 and that it's very close to the parents etc.
So I popped 10 beans, 8 cracked and I ended up with 3 very uniform girls. Think it was my fault they all never popped as got them too cold. I grew them in coco with canna coco nutes which they thrived in and soon became the biggest specimens in the room. I left them to grow natural with them growing into the typical Xmas tree shape with great vigour. They're easy to grow and can take moderate to high EC and like to dry out between feeds. I've got 3 different phenos with difference only in Bud structure and terpin profile, otherwise they look like there from the same mother. They're all very very skunky/ cheesey/ funky with one pheno a bit sweeter and the others just deep straight dank. I'm taking mine down at 9 half, but between 9 and 10 is best. 2 of the plants have filled out nice with above average yields, the side branches are needing support. One of the plants has produced pop corn though, similar buds to the blue cheese with small swirl shaped nugs, still dank but not a keeper for small buds. I bet she'll end up tasting best, sods law.
If your looking for something like original skunk then this would be a good choice.
Stay green
Peace
