two Oriental Express girls at day 63

Hi all

I germed five seeds, and got three girls. One of them hermied like crazy, so she was removed. Another, the taller of the two in the pictures below, also hermied, but I patiently plucked every male flower I could and put her on her own in another tent for a while and luckily no more flowers appeared.

The shorter plant has very dense buds, almost rock hard.

The taller plant has the fluffy, airy buds with pistils shooting out everywhere. It is almost a ball of fur.

I have no idea why the pictures are rotated. I used to be able to upload pictures properly, and my equipment hasn't changed, and my method hasn’t changed.

These are both at day 63, and I am guessing they have two weeks more. They are now on srtict H20.

Have any of you worked with these phenotypes before?

(i know phenotype is not the "correct" term, but it is the term everyone here seems to use)

Hello Vajra, You are correct. Phenotype is your smells, colors and tastes. Genotype is your structures chemical and physical. I had 3 VB genotypes last summer. Indoors Temps were pretty warm until late September. I would have had better results with better ventilation for sure. I love these genetics from Ace. Two of my testers say it's their favorite smoke. I wish you well. Peace

That is terrific, Lion

Which genotype do you think these plants are?

Both are squat plants, but one of them has remarkably fluffy, pistil-y buds, and looks like a muppet. Probably more white hairs than I have ever seen before, genuinely looking like a shag carpet.

The other plant is even squatter, and has completely dense, rock hard buds. Actually, each main stem has one long rock hard bud that is thickening day by day. Each of the two of these is ten inches long and about 1.5 inches in diameter. There is no fluff or air in this plant at all.

Two very different exressions.

mine were thinner leaves more VB. I have not grown out a China Yunnan yet. Compared to mine I would say yours are more Indica leaning or 50/50 ratio. Dubi would be the man as they are his creation. I love the aroma of the OE. My daughter demanded she had it all for testing. I guess she really liked the OE too. Peace

Hi vajra,

Thanks for sharing your Orient Express. Both are the squat, massive yielding, more indica pheno, this pheno can produce a lot in a very short height with enough growing time.

I'm sorry to hear you have had hermie traits in 2 of them, some OE fem lines have produced a % of hermies, these lines have been discarded for future releases.
Please pm me or email me to: [email protected] and i will replace you the seeds for other batch or other strain.
