Two Dispensaries FIREBOMBED in Montana!

It looks like the War on Cannabis has taken a more violent turn in Billings, Montana where two medical cannabis dispensaries were fire bombed in the last two days! "Not in our town" was spray-painted on the Billings businesses, police say.

Billings has been inundated with 90 applications for medical marijuana dispensaries. The town has only 100,000 residents and dispensaries have become a hot issue there.

The attacks on the storefronts come as the Billings City Council considers a moratorium on licensing new dispensaries while it works up a regulatory ordinance.

Let's see how well the local leos work with the ATF (FEDs) on finding out who is responsible for this. Maybe some of the local cops themselves?

It's interesting that something like this would happen in Billings, a real old fashioned cowboy town. I haven't been thru there in a decade or more, but I kinda doubt the local ranchers and farmers could possibly get so worked up to risk their own freedom by commiting such a violent act.

So either this was a LEO action disguised as something else, or perhaps some illegal street dealers felt threatened.

No doubt this will cast a pall upon the city council when it next discusses the moratorium and regulations. They must find out who did this and make a big example of them. This kind of action against the cannabis community cannot stand and must not be allowed to set a precedent.

I feel sick when violence and ganja are in the same sentence. This is some outrageous actions by a rapidly shrinking anti-cannabis sub-culture.

Hopefully some sort of last stand. I would love if they found these douches and they were thrown in jail for hate crimes against sick people trying to get their medicine. These are the times I wish I practiced Law, I'd be on a plane to Billings offering my services.

You're right. Maybe just a few bar owners felt threatened when they saw their regulars going elsewhere for their "medication". So they got together to run the dispensaries out-of-town. Just like they used to do in the ol' days when they felt threatened by sheep ranchers or outsiders...

It's such a small town, that whomever did it obviously felt they have "protection" for doing it. So it's either pigs or well connected good ol' boys.

And don't let the irony of "Not in our town." escape notice. Yes that's piggy talk, or good ol' boy talk for sure. What that statement fails to consider is that it is their own townspeople who benefit from medical dispensaries and are the ones going there for their medicine. This will force them to go to street dealers and reward the criminal element in their town. But then again, that could be who is behind the bombings...

That goes to the heart of their misconceptions, and indeed the misconception of all who oppose cannabis - IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT YOU! For people who oppose cannabis ignore the reasons people are using it, and continue to stigmatize those who use it and the drug itself. It shows how far we still have to go (at least in rural America) before people will understand that cannabis is truly medicine and far safer than alcohol and tobacco and so many pharma drugs that cannabis can replace.

Cannabis and Homosexuality may also be associated with the Devil's power in Montana.
Also the attempt to block immigration may also be sending some to a drunken rage.

I see the same smouldering hate here in California! I have been told here that the local Churches are preaching political messages here in California against Cannabis. There is a quiet but steady movement to get the Anti-Cannabis people registered to vote.

If we think the Anti-Cannabis folks are saintly let's splash some cold water on our faces.
