Both of these were acquired from upstanding dispensaries in the LA area. The first is CPA, an awesome (albeit expensive) dispensary in West Hollywood. The second is Kind Meds - the Encino favorite for always-killer buds and hash at a decent price.
Let me say this: I know what my next grow is going to be. Wowzer, this stuff is outstanding. If it's as stable as I've heard it is it's worth the Paradise Seeds price. Zap.
Sensi Star (advertised Sativa-dominant hybrid)
From CPA - This was priced to sell at $50 given the price of the other buds (~$65)
By far the weirdest, coolest dope I've ever smelled. It's an odd combination of an earthy, dirty, skunky-citrus. It's a light colored bud that looks almost golden. It smokes just like it smells; this particular batch was super-clean and well flushed, so very smooth smoke.
The high is a great combination of body and mind; they say it's an indica-leaning hybrid, but I'm feeling a lot of sativa in this one. Very smooth, great every day smoke. I could smoke this stuff all day and not get tired of it. Too bad they don't have it there anymore
"Super" Sensi Star (advertised sativa-dominant hybrid)
From Kind Meds - This batch sold for $40/8th (alert! bargain). I couldn't help but notice the jar was almost empty, a sign that it's a popular one (which the budtender confirmed). Buds are also light colored, but not as much as the example above.
The aroma is, at first whiff, a muted version of the more expensive brand above. It shares a similar skunkiness, but much less of a deep, earthy smell. It's more on the sickly-sweet/citrussy side than the first.
Melony, sweet flavor followed by a savory finish. The smoke is thicker and meatier than the previous star, but still smokes great. The high is muuuch more on the indica-side of things. Right on the shoulders and eyes - great for watching a movie or just chilling out. Definitely an old-school stone.
