Turning lights on for couple mins in veg stg when the plant is in the dark hours, bad?

Hi

I know that when the m.j. is in the flowering stage its not recomanded to turn on the lights when plant is in the dark hours at ''sleep'' and that this could lead to a herm but what about when we are in the veg stage? Turning lights on for a feew minutes in the dark hours of veg stage could stress the plant resulting in a posible herm?

I sometime turn on a 23w light in that chamber for 2-3 minutes, is this bad in veg stage? Thanks for the answers in advance!

Why would you do that?

An occasional blip does no harm. Screwing with the light schedule on a regular basis is begging for trouble.

I sometimes have to enter to get something out of that room but i will use a green bulb for now on if i must enter the room. I never left the light on more than 1 minute maybee less if i entered there.

In veg it doesn't matter as much. sometimes I forget to turn off the green bulb though. i put a 30 minute timer switch instead of a normal flip switch in my wet room.

there is absolutely no detrimental effect of letting light shine on vegetating plants!
none, never.
if a plant can consume light on a 24 hr. basis, what makes you think that flashing them with a few minutes of light is going to disturb them? nah...it don't obtain.
a few minutes of light won't hurt even after they're full-on flowering.

Once they get used to having a sleep, you should leave them.

That means that you can do a quick job like that just after the lights go off or come on, but after you've stated giving them regular sleeps after cloning/seedling stage, then you shouldn't disturb them as they're busy growing roots in the dark, and when you turn the light on they think it's time to start growing leaves again.

minimal stress in veg aint gonna harm too much(light interupption in dark hours/Veg), i wouldnt make it regular though. Isnt green light known to be used in photosynth now & increases it? ive seen a few people using green strips & what about the new phillips green? see the spectrum in new LED Units too! They got my attention!

stressing plants in veg can harm them greatly. Stop turning on and off the lights. If you were sleeping that would stress you out right?

No Problem in Veg Just Be Careful

No Problem in Veg Just Be Careful

It's a good thing they are sessile. They'd be throwing shit at you if they could. Let 'em sleep!

Seriously tho, when they're in veg it's no problem. The biggest problem is that you are developing a bad habit, which will cause you problems after you flip them into flower.
