I have digital ballasts that can turbo and i was wondering about the bulb getting to hot at the arch tube, ive heard people saying it reduces life for obvious reasons and you should never turbo mh but ive also heard a few stories about bulb detention on hps 600w and 1000w systems on turbo. has any one here had that happen to them? could it be a cheap part in a cheap bulb? ive used the turbo setting a few times and didn't see any notable difference, i got them because i wanted to dim the light and swap out a 600w hps to a 400w mh on the same circuit at the end of the cycle so i was just wondering about it i don't plan to turbo anyway.
