Have had many discussions with friends about the removal or non-removal of "Fan" leafs.......Myself I prefer to tuck them under because the sugar production of the leaf is still there no mater if it gets less light......New growth underneath get better lighting and produce somewhat better.....although only the lower leaves contribute to root production the center leaves can provide feeding and nute to the roots or to the top of the plant buds.....The top leaves only supply the upper portion of the plant...
Whenever the fan begins to yellow or die off I remove them since their usefulness has be exhausted by the plant....What is the concensious of the group on this matter......
