Ts1000 or HLG QB 135 R-SPEC

Hi folks,
I'm looking to move to led lighting in a small 2x2 single plant set up.
Thing is I want to make sure I buy the right light 1st time.
I'm stuck between the Mars hydro ts1000 and The hlg QB 135 R-Spec.

Because of all the marketing hype created by the 2 different companies I get confused. I don't know who's saying what because they got a free light in the reviews.
I also know there's a lot of hate out there for Mars hydro so that fogs up some comments I read online.

Now like I'm a child with very little understanding could someone please tell me which light would be best out of the 2?
I just want to grow some bud and not have a light burn out on me after the 1st run.

Thanks in advance :tiphat:

I went with a HLG135 v2 Rspec for my 2x2 tent, got it for a bargain from Quick Bloom Lights here in Australia.

I'm in the UK, not sure of what the conversion rate is but I can get the hlg kit for £180 probably more like £190 with shipping. The ts1000 on the other hand is £136 including shipping.
I don't mind paying the extra if its worth it.
I'm also not a equipment snob and don't mind being cheap. I've still got a budget 400w mag ballast I use and it's ten years old. I've had digital ballast mess up in less than a year.

I'm only looking at growing one automatic so don't want to go stupid with cost of set up. Everything else is in various shopping carts waiting.
Just having trouble choosing a light. I've also just seen the spider farmer sf1000 and now I'm pondering that too ffs

Ther both awsome boards..personaly I would go with who ever can give you the longest guarantee on the actual chips and board (not the driver as mw do a standard 5 year manufacturers waranty) an then weigh that up against the cost..but they both perfom outstandingly.

Mag ballasts are nice and reliable! Have you ever checked the capacitor with a multimeter to see if its still within range? A weak cap and produce a dim light! Wouldnt hurt to swap a new cap in there if its that old!

The pfc cap won't effect output. In a domestic situation, it may be a useless component. In industry your bill is effected by power factor. It's just there to ensure the lights use of current, is in line with the supply of voltage. Capacitors lead and coils lag. So the cap charges on the rising waveform, and then supplies current to the coil as the waveform drops. So the use of current seen at the power station, rises and falls with the voltage. Without the cap, the light would draw it's power after the voltage peak, so the power station would have to be sized to power your load when it's not at peak output. If you were 90 degree's late, the power station would be infinitely large to power your light. As it's providing no voltage at that point.
