Trying to find my footing

Hello, :tiphat: Kinda new to this....

been messing around with an attempt at a first grow for the last 6 months or so...maybe longer... my first attempt were some crazy mangled LST wanna be mite infested poor excuses for plants...
BTW I ordered NL#9 from sagarmartha
first round sucked I ended up flowering 3 plants from seed and kept 2 moms... all were infested with mites before i even know i had them and neem oil didnt cut it...

I was able to root some clones from the mom before i tossed her.

Got rid of the spider mites(red) cleaned out my cabinet and started fresh

NowI have 2 LST bushes in flower and I have 2 beautiful bonsai moms of which i just took 8 clones from 6 days ago

moms are in 2 gallon pots(FFOF, azomite, worm castings, xtra perlite) Under 250 watt MH

Seems like my moms didnt mind me taking clones, so as soon as thees root i want to take 8 more.

My intention is to run a 4x2 perpetual SOG so im thinking 32 plants under 2 400 watt lights MH/HPS in half gallon bags so that im harvesting 8 plants every ? weeks

first off iv never done this before so, is this possible and will i see good results?

what amendments should i add to my FFOF to carry it all the way to the end without me having to worry about mixing nutes?....not that i wont, i just dont want to. I will use dry kool bloom 2nd half of flower before i flush

how close should my lights be?

how long should i veg the clones for before flower?

BTW clones are rooting in peat pellets with clonex and i have them about 3.5 feet from the 250 mh

Anything is possible. I think you may want to get a couple grows under your belt before you try maintaining a tight schedule.

Can't help you I only do hydro.

As close as you can get with out burning your plants. Place your hand at canopy level and see if it is too hot.

In a SOG the clones are flowered after roots have shown for a week usually.

I prefer to keep cuttings under cfl's till they root, then to a MH.

Thing is, I do have a couple grows under my belt (lst bushes) the first one was destroyed by red spider mites although I still ended up with about an ounce of smoke-able bud and my second grow is finishing up right now I just don't wanna grow bushes it's far to much

You see, I don't want to worry about up-potting, trimming, lst-ing, or mixing nutes that I have no clue about to keep the big plants from becoming deficient.

I want a start to finish one pot single kola plants-lots of them

Please allow me to re iterate my question

Is a half gallon grow bag big enough to support a one week veg and 6 weeks flower under 400 watts????
I just ordered some Indonesian bat guano that ill use for compost tea and 0-10-0 bone meal for soil amendment along side worm casting and azomite... Is this good? Or am I missing something?

How are you applying the neem? The method is to first emulsify it with protekt and then mix it into the spraying solution with a wetting agent and apply it every three days. Three applications are needed to hit whatever new borns may have crawled out of the dirt and break their reproductive cycle.

Don't do a 6 week flower...just don't. If you don't like couchlock, grow a sat. If you like the O'duals version of pot, then go ahead at the six week mark. If something is recommended for 8, they probably mean 9 and just want to appeal to the impatient. I'll let my Jamaican Lambsbread go for up to 15 weeks.

That being said, if you want to run plants in the smallest pots possible in the fastest time with no pruning, training, fertilizing, or uppotting, go with 3 gallon pots, at least 1 week of veg and no more than 2 weeks, and at least 8 weeks of flowering.

You can mix a little guano and bone meal into the soil, but I would only use EWC and moleasses for compost tea. Azomite is fine, but the castings are the thing your FFOF probably needs the most of. You might have to add some aeration bits to. There's a good thread over in the organic section called "making potting soil 101" or some shit like that that might help clarify your amendment questions.

I certainly wouldn't call that a "few successful grows." Almost an ounce of spider mite infested "smokeable" (by your standards) bud is a frigging disaster and most people on here wouldn't smoke it with someone else's lungs, myself included. I'm on grow #2, my first turned out better than I expected; I planned to have some problems as a first timer so when they came about, I took it in stride and learned.

Basically, you just want as much bud as you can get with the least amount of work, knowledge or experience, discarding whatever knowledge YOU deem useless without even knowing ANYTHING. You don't have the chops to even know what applies to your style of grow. Its like you want to be a race car driver who can't change the oil or a tire, but expects to start the Indy 500. You will need to learn PLENTY about nutes and trimming, especially if you are planning some sort of SOG operation. Cloning, trimming, training, LST'ing, topping and FIM'ing mothers to produce the most amount of clones and keep them from getting too bushy are all essential to the success of any perpetual grow. Lollipopping main colas...all that. Quite frankly, your attitude toward growing is why you got the results you have seen so far.
