tryin to find more information on swiss miss

HI everyone at IC, I'm new to the site. I was a ex-overgrower as well this is only my second grow and my first outdoors. I'm growing swiss miss at around 27 deg lat. in florida. I was just trying to find out the true lineage of the strain and some others who have grown it and their opinions.

Any info much appreciated :yummy:

Checked the strain guide for you, all i could find is that it is a skunk mix with a very stoney effect. PM rap1up. He has experience with swiss miss.

thanks ill hav to pm him ...ive been looking all over the internet for as much information as possible. I miss overgrow, it was always so easy to find information on almost every strain. I'm looking for some type of grow diary too. I bought the beans when i lived in Ny fer that climate. Also, looking for someone who might have grown it in a warmer climate like florida

If you thought it would do good in NY it will do even better in florida.

yahh thats what i was thinking. But, i looked through rap1up's grow diary of swiss miss. I think he grew it out in England and it go mold on it. The humidity is pretty bad here right now. I think it's like that at the end of summer during flowering as well.

Give him a pm, i dunno if hes still active though. If your area is prone to mold might wanna look for a mold resistant strain.

well it says it's mold resistant but it molded on him so im starting to doubt that nirvana was being up front about it. I'm thinking of bringing it inside at night and putting a fan on it. Just got to think of a complete dark place.

Well there is no strain that is 100% mold proof. When they say mold resistant i think they mean compared to other strains. Lets say he was growing afghani insteady, he might of lost the whole crop. Bringing them inside would be a good idea if your growing close to your home. If not, going out every morning and shaking off the dew on your plants will help aswell.

Ya my plants are just a few steps out the door. I work nights so when i get home around 7, it will be a good time to shake them off probably. I haven't heard any thing back from rap1up yet. I'll send him another message. Are you growing this year

Hmm last time he was on was June 19. Maybe he comes on once in awhile. I unfortunately lost all of my plants and no money for more seeds. Keep me posted on how this grow goes. Peace.

wut up man my plants are under attack of some sort. It's either thrips or mites I am thinking. I don't know for sure but by looking through the sick plant forum. I'll post some pics in the next day er so gotta get a digital camera.

Well the soap seems to have worked so far. Although both plants first set of true leaves shrivled up and died. I don't know if the soap caused it or the bugs. Many of the new leaves have burnt tips. Do you think the soap might have burned the leaves. Sorry i can't provide pictures until I get my cousins digital camera.

Which leaves shrivled up? The cotyledon? What soap did you use. Get pics asap.

I grew swiss miss outdoors and in.. Its definetly more of an outdoor plant.. took a bit longer to finish than papaya, more airy nuggs, but can get somewhat big, and have a decent smell if grown outside and cured properly, otherwise takes on that hayish smell.. I trianed the shit out of mine, it was more branchy than the papaya, and it ended up being decent outdoors, but not good in.

T.Do. Toker - ill try it seems to be doing better the cotelydons have fallen off i know thats okay. But the next set are starting to shrivel slightly. I used dawn dish soap recipe i found somewhere it was pretty diluted.
Kiefer- thanks fer replyin man... do happen to have any pictures of that grow? What kind of climate did you grow it in? What method did you use to train it?

well havent posted in a week decided i'd give a little update if anyone out theres payin attention. Transplanted swiss miss to a 2 gallon pot, shes been stretching ever since. She first popped out of the soil june 25th and shes about 10 inches tall. I got another midgrade plant going which is about 8 inches tall and it smells like straigh skunk. Anyone out there know of strains that smell like skunk after the 5th or 6th node. Its definetely indica dominant.Someday when my cousin gets his camera back ill post some pics.
