What does this mean to the good growers and general citizens? Is privacy completly gone? This is outrageous. Just add a FLIR and its as bad as it can be.

I am sure that our govt n the US is all hot and bothered wishing they had a program. It probably wont be that long before its here.

Orwell was an optimist.... I swear.:fsu:

Can you guys raise hell and get this thing stopped or is it already done so to speak... in the name of "terrorist protection" for the Olympics?

Remember than in the last Olympics China drove 1 million people from their homes and bulldozed them, all in the name of the Olympics!

It's amazing, the Olympics are becoming the expression of the tyranny the global corporations over our lives

"Police in the UK are planning to use unmanned spy drones, controversially deployed in Afghanistan, for the *"routine" monitoring of antisocial motorists, *protesters, agricultural thieves and fly-tippers, in a significant expansion of covert state surveillance."

What's a "fly-tipper"?

It finally gives all those model airplane hobbyists something TO DO with their airplanes. Namely, taking out expensive ass drones kamikaze style.

No way to get caught unless the drone sees you standing there holding a box with an antenna on it. :)

We had a thread on these a couple weeks ago, we kinda decided that they would be shotgun pigeons for anywhere outside city limits. Its not like the thing can identify itself as a police vehicle, so if it's on your land it's target practice. I'm sure once a couple of these $100K machines are shot out of the sky they'll be unable to replace them.

Truthly, it makes me think. I read 1984. I'm pretty cognisant of intrusion.

Legalize drugs and let people do what they want and we may not have this issue......(blah blah political ramble).

I digress. This would save some money on skeet.

It'll be tough to take them out with an R/C plane or shoot them down if they're flying at 20,000 ft like the article said they could.

This kind of thing is just gonna get deeper and deeper... anyone else feel the day dawning where we rise and say "enough's enough with the espionage. I'm growing weed and masturbate occasionally... now FUCK OFF!!!"
