So I heard this guy at an aa meeting once say this "the reward in trusting others isn't that everyone u place your trust in will be trustworthy, rather the reward is that you get to be a trusting man.
Same with loving others, the reward isn't that you will be loved in return, rather you get to be a loving person.
Anyway, it can be hard and you have to use good judgment but I don't want a life where iam untrusting and unloving because a small percentage of people are scumbags.
