TRUE BLUEBERRY

Hey folks. just movin a thread i started in the grow journals here to the forums. ive been spendin hours on here readin and checkin things out so im gittin more familiar with things. definately lookin forward to meetin sum new peeps and sharing my grows and techniques!! anyways heres a few pics and descriptions of my setup

just repotted the 3 i think r females based on my microscopical vision so we'll see wut happens. the rest of em are gonna be done tommorow regardless of if there showing sex or not i dont want em to git rootbound the others were gittin pretty close.

just a high powered fan blowin on high speed. but that fan only circulates air in the closet, i have a smaller fan that blows air right up from downstairs and keeps the room very airated and right around 80 degrees.

the light is a simple 400 watt hps from htg. my yields are usually about 4-5 ozs but im hopin to smash that record with these. if the 6 sufficient ones are all females ill definately be able to give it a shot.

thoughts and comments are encouraged and certainly appreciated!!:joint:

What B-Berry do you have? I've been working with DP B-Berry for a little while now....seems to be easy to grow, really resinous buds. Not the smell and taste I was hoping for though. Pics look very nice, good luck on your venture!:kitty:

Thank you. Its "true blueberry" that came from an outdoor grow in n. cali. typically blueberry is a very touchy strain to grow, takes a green thumb to git it just right :D

lookin' good! i can agree that BB can be touchy. mine we not typically big eaters and were hyper sensitive to whatever they were given. its good to get to know a demanding plant as they are always the ones that reward you the most. such is the certainly the case with BB. yummy! keep up the good work!

Looks great so far. Have you topped any of these plants? When you typically get 4-6 oz, how many plants are you flowering under your 400w?

Great looking Blueberry plants bro. I have 4 in my current grow and have never seen anything get so bushy. Hope you keep posting pics for those of us who like to compare grows (the hell with the "show me bud only" folks, I like to see them start to finish.)

HI CHIEF.
very healthy looking plants bro im on board for this one..
quick question wich would you guy's go for..
dj shorts blueberry or true blueberry..
peace..

me.

dunno which one has more flavor but i know there both awesome. to be honest with u i think the original might be a little better smoke but i think true blue will give u a higher yield and will still git u blasted. if i had to pick between the 2 i would take the true blue. but thats just cuz i havent grown the original but i like wut i can do with this one so far :D

yo gobwats and jamaican sorry to ignore ya fellas but i didnt see the posts. thanks for the good words tho. jamacain the smell is skunky as hell already.. they were already reaking before i started 12/12 but man i loovvveee the smell when i first open the door in the morning my lord.. i think ill be running this strain again for sure. the only reason i got them to be so bushy is by topping them at about the 5th or 6th node. couple days after i top em i cut off all the big fan leaves so the undergrowth gits light and starts to branch out. other than that its all in the nutes and soil. but dunno how theyll do outside i couldnt tell ya. i did git the seeds from an outdoor grow but hell anything can grow outdoors in norcal since they dont git rain til its about time to harvest. true blue says indoors but i dont see why it couldnt grow outdoors. im sure itll be alright just baby em when there small because they are very touchy with the soil drying out too much, i use a spray bottle to keep the soil moist at all times when there small. hope that answers ur question! :joint:

I've been a hippie grower all my life (planting bag seed) so this is my first grow with the hybrid strains. Got my seed from a friend up north that grows for one of the major Canadian seed banks, so all I know is I have Blueberry and Purple Wreck growing (along with a few from bag seed, once a hippie...)

i have a purple outdoor only strain. its actually a local nocal strain called "sex" but i havent seen it anywhere else other than the garden it came from. its very pretty tho i grew a couple of em last year in the woods so they didnt quite turn out like i wanted em to but i know they have sum potential. the hairs looked more like hot pink than purple. excellent phenos. smells like sweet candy :D

My Purple Wreck are really starting to show their genetics with lovely hues of violet in the leaves and the most impressive looking flower I have yet to see (and they have only just begun to flower!) Aroma gets stronger and sweeter everyday. Both PW are females, and 2 of my BB are definite female (still waiting to see first flowers on the other 2.) You were definitely right in what you said, these beat anything I have yet to grow.

well im gonna start feeding em bloom tommorow.. i give em plain water for about 5 days after i transplant em just so the roots start to branch out a little bit before i start puttin ferts in the soil. hopefully these 3 gals will keep em happy enough for the next 7 weeks. im callin thursday week 2 of flowering, 3 weeks of 12/12. i tried takin sum macro pics but it wont work with the light on, ill try again later tonight when the light goes off :D

so far so good, looks like there in perfect health. startin to git sum blue tint on the leaves. i just started feedin em bloom yesterday, i put like 5 teaspoons of superswell (0-7-0) around the stems. ill give em another dose of the guano halfway through the third week then ill mix my big bud powder (0-10-40) with the iguana bloom for the 4th n 5th week then it should be time to flush :D
