Hi , I'm new here, i live in tropical country in South east asia.
I want to post my grow so i can get some help, so please comment. I want to try hydroponic but i will do soil first.

My room temperature is around 29c and humidity is 76%, if i turn on the aircon, the temp will drop to 26 and humidity to 55%. should i lookout for fungus with this environment?

The seed i got from Attitude seed, arrive in 1 week, I ordered sensi seed feminized mix 20seeds , but beside them i got free 5 thai s skunk and 1 fem gigabud for free.

I’m using rockwool to germicide 3 thai-s skunk and 1 gigabud, wash them with tap water and water them with mineral water. PH around 7, luke warm water.

I germ 2 thai s skunk by dip them on a glass of water for 2 days and i saw a crack today, no root yet but i plant them anyway on a small pot with local growing media that mixed of
33% of soil (possibly clay)
33% of compost
33% of Humus
1% of perlite

The reason i tried 2 method is to see which one are better, since this is my first grow.

Yesterday i can seed that the gigabud will grow first, maybe because it got the biggest size of seed compare the other.

I germ on a 3 inch rockwool, but i think its too big for Soil used, i'm going to cut them to 1.5 inch cube.

I still put them on dark area, when can i use FL on them?

thanks

Hi andy...55% air humidity should be fine...there wont be any fear for fungus if the air is moving around the plants...temps are little high but will do very well...put them in the light right away when the seedlings pop up...

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks since i put my seed to soil and rockwool.
the yellow spot was caused by the water droplet and fluoro lamp, since that i never spray them anymore, should i use surfactant?

When should i use firtilizer? are they ok? because i feel the color of the leaves are not green enough they are more like light green thank dark green, bu the looks healthy though.
Will the burn marks heal? will it affect the plant?

thanks

Hi Andy,

I'm a new grower too so you should double check what I say in case I'm mistaken. I think the compost in your soil is already plenty for the seedlings until they're a few more weeks old. You will see the first signs of hunger when the very first leaves (cotyledons) start to turn yellow and this is normal. I think for now water and light and whats in the soil is ok.

As far as I know, the burn marks won't heal. instead the plant uses the energy from the damaged leaves, the main thing is that your new growth is looking ok. the leaf might even turn a bit yellow as the plant directs the energy away from it towards the new leaves. anyway it probably won't ever go away, but it's nothing to worry about.

happy growing

Thanks movingtocally,
Jamie, thanks for the info, I'll keep that in mind. i was just wandering why the stem looks small and weak.
I just read your grow diary, its good post, i hope i can write like you.
i'm planning to use scrog too, once the cabinet finished, maybe NGB style.

thanks for the kind words, Andy

NGB is the whole reason I ever started this growing adventure  his 450gram from one plant scrog completely blew my mind..

3 weeks after seeded.
The gigabud is very tight, i wish it would stretch more, why is this happened, is this because the light is too close?

high andy12. how often are you watering these girls? What's your feeding schedule? (trying to help ya figure out the yellowing). Also "i was just wandering why the stem looks small and weak." if you want to thicken the stems, put a fan in there or just shake them once a day gently by hand. The lack of wind storms inside can sometimes cause plants to stretch without building a strong enough stem. Also, you want those floros as close as you can put them (keeping heat in mind).

Keep it up, I'll be following along.

thanks for stopping by oldschool feel very happy finally someone want to comment on my grow.

i feed them lightly everyday, and i feed them slowly untill water drip from the bottom of the pot.
i dont feed them nutrient. i only feed them water since the soil i use contain nutrients. should i feed them with liquid firtilizer?
the stem are really small for a 5 weeks plant, is my grow stunted? especially the gigabud, last picture, short, and small leaves.

i really like your scrog, very impressive.
your grow looks very big for a 30 days veg. is it because you're using hydroponic method?

thanks

Hi Andy...

looking pretty good I think mate.

some lower leaves always yellow and fall off on mine too (I pull them off when they get real yellow and limp) I was told it was ok though and stopped worrying.

does your pre fed soil tell you on the bag when the food inside runs out? (I have some that says no feed for 8 weeks). well what I found with that was I repot in less than 8 weeks so they always get "new food"... only for the last few weeks of flower I will use some bud booster - or if I notice deficiencies I can use some all in one plant food I have. So far though, I've never fed my soil plants and they're now 3 weeks into flower after 4 weeks veg. I don't know if what I'm doing is right, but it seems to be working out ok (the plants are very green and healthy - and now growing lots of buds).

I guess what I'm saying is... if you feel the plants were growing nicely in the soil without nutes but now have slowed down... repotting might be one safe way to give them a good dinner
