trimming roots

i recently changed cloning method from plain water cloning to rockwool (1")in hydroton in net pots....I have some with roots already outta the bottom of the net pots but i'm not ready for them yet...Can i trim these stray roots that leave the pot?

40 years in agriculture. Don't trim roots unless you're transplanting.

I would leave them rootbound. If your still looking at trimming roots check out the bonsai mother thread. Shows how to trim roots properly.

Root trimming is fine.
