so what leaves do u trim on a bush like plant 2.5 foot wide and 3 ft high i have only trimmed the bottom all the other is still there she looks like a fuzzy headed rock star from ther eightys
i let one of my plants get big wo topping it and have lots and lots of leaves i think i dont need but i am not a plant i havre gone in and taken some leaves and nodes off that i thought were not going to produce anything but any one know bout the top fan leaves i have never let one get this big i wil have pics up soon so u can look for ur self
It depends. I'll usually trim leaves that are at the very bottom, clipping the dead and unhealthy ones, or ones that may have insects feeding.
If the plant is outside, I will let it grow however it wants. If indoor, I will clip some of the smaller growth so the plant can focus its energy on the bigger buds.
Your fan leaves up top will wither and die naturally as the buds fill in and the smaller leaves that grow out of the buds take the place of the big fan leaves. Till they brown on their own, leave them as they are the life of your plant as it establishes the bud sites.
