I have always used dried trim for making cannabutter. I also use 2oz of trim per pound of butter. Based on this ratio, I calculate a "dose" at 1 teaspoon. Any more then that is a waste of a high for most people. For a lot of people, it is too much. I personally find 1/2 tsp enough for a 5 hour buzz.

I've made butter with wet an dry trim, both work. The butter may be more subtle of a flavor dry than when fresh.

no need to dry trim before making cannabutter IME
about 2 quarts for a pound of butter with 1/2 dry trim and 1/2 leaf works for me, if its wet it takes more
