Here is a trifoliate cotyledon seedling, I've had serrated ones before but never 3 cotyledons. Wonder how it will turn out?

Anyone else had this before, it's bubblegum x purple urkle

I have two right now. One is growing three branches per node and the other only dud that once then reverted to regular but one side is growing double branches while the opposite branch has only one. Some will self top and just grow leaves but no growing branches.

I had a trifoliate highland oaxecan gold once, it grew three branches and basically had a extra branch all the way up, I don't know if I got more weight but there were more buds, it reverted once I cloned it.

I wasn't worried, excited maybe for a break from the norm lol:) thankyou for putting my mind to rest though :comfort:

Unlikely it would revert. This is called polyploidism and is very special :)

What it means is instead of 2 parents, that plant has 3 sets of genes... Pretty freakin cool.

Edit: I should say that in the 10 years of my own growing, the 2 or 3 I've had, have stayed 3 noded like that their entire lives.

Encourage it ..breed from it to get 1/3rd more weed than the normal bi foilates ...lol

Only the main stock has the three branched nodes but clones taken grow regular. I thought it would be fun though to make seeds for fun. They grow slower than my others though. Half the size so I'm not sure if even it did produce a bit more would it be worth it. :dunno:

So this baby is growing three serrated leaves now, one is slightly smaller than the other two.

I had a trifoliate Flo which grew a extra branch all the way up and a extra bud on every bract. However compared to the other females the overall weight wasn't any more really, maybe a small bit. I'm sure I made a thread on here about it.

I also had it happen with the hog but this had just three branches all the way up, no extra buds per branch. They all grew normal once cloned from.

Trifoliates ???

Trifoliates ???

I was just thinking to myself could trifoliates be linked to ruderalis throwbacks ??? To me it could be, considering that anything is possible in the world of ganja... :woohoo:

I wasn't talking about them being weak in potency, because they are not, I was relating to structure and the way have extra limbs far as some blueberry plant displaying this trait which I believe the afghani plant used could had ruderalis crossed into it a long time in it's past and these trifoliates could be a throwback to the ruderalis structure is it alright to say this or is it just throwback to the growers mistakes, overfeeding, light leaks, inbreeding and so on ???

plants that grow in the wild display all type of different traits thats why i think about ruderalis being in the mix who no what breeders do on there path to cutting down flowering times of these long flowering sitivias and afghani plant who knows ???

Have you grown Jamaican bag seed before, I've grown a lot of bag seed from Jamaica and never done any good with it.
