this is my first grow. I have a PurpleBud (socalled, supposed to be mostly sativa but I cannot find any info on it other than their site. google search comes up with an Indica Kush from some other company) from Southern Oregon seeds that is near the end of flowering. Trichs are forming nicely. I just discovered a few spider mites on it (no webbing yet). Take a look at this leaf photo. Is that from Spider mites or something else. I looked on the Joe Fresh thread and posted there but nothing so far. I appreciate your help.

doesnt look like spider mites to me. they normally congregate under the leaves.

Not saying you dont have them but this looks like some sort of deficiency, Late in flower this is to be expected, depending on your time until harvest i wouldnt let the deficiency bother you.

If you have mites you should treat with something to knock them down until you harvest.

Spider mites typically leave tiny white spots on the top side of the leaves resulting from their bites. These dots appear in a random pattern on the leaf. On the leaf above the middle leaf in your picture, fourth serration point on the top edge. That tiny white dot looks like typical spider mite damage. Your discoloration is following the leaf veins. Looks more like a deficiency but I'm not sure what. Like Speed of green said, if you're close enough to finish I'd just ride it out.

I've gotten this from time to time and cannot figure it out either. :dunno: It always comes on not long after the stretch in bloom and never seems to effect bud growth.

I've tried uping to calcium, lowering the calcium, letting them dry out, watering more, cutting back on macro nutes, uping the macro nutes, flushing... Nothing seems to work.

Then around 6/7 weeks in bloom, it slows down and stops. So for me, when it happens, it only comes on around week 3 and stops by week 7. Flowers always come out great. It doesnt even effect the yield much. Of course the worst my symptoms get is the picture you put up. I've seen other ppls leaves progress to yellowing.

I thought for a while there it might have been lock out from too much of something. But even after I flushed and started giving them straight water, it still came on. :duuno:

Right now all my plants are lookin flawless and havent seen this since Dec or so. :)

Hopefully someone chimes in that knows whats up.
