Tricks Of The Trade

I just recently started some new bagseed beans and got some awsome germ rates(5 of them popped in 4 days, no germination just right into soil), and was wondering what some of the old fashion tricks, or tradtions that keep the plant growing strong from seedling to flower?

Like when do you start feeding them, and what do you feed them. If you FIM them or why you dont. Stuff like that, get the drift. :joint:

I dont start feeding until at least the 3rd or 4th week of veg. I use Lite-Mix soil (BioBizz), except maybe some Superthrive.

Sticking a seed in soil is still "germinating" a seed as long as it pops and grows into a seedling. Whether the seedling survives is another thing. Germination is a stage of every seeded plants life cycle unless its a clone.

To keep the stems strong when in seedling stage keep a light breeze on them, or flick them with ur fingers a few times a day to thicken up the stems. At later stages in veg (or even floweing) you can pinch the stalk of the plant to create a better internal transport system for water and nutes in your plants. Search the site for "supercropping".

FIMing or topping a plant is really down to the grower and how a particular strain reacts to the stress of it. Some plants like it,some dont.

I would hazard a guess and say that all strains respond fairly well to LST. Its something i do (to some extent) on every (female) plant i grow. The amount you train will effect the overal outcome of the process.

TELL NO ONE!

After that I am a firm believer on the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) method. Start basic and as you learn start experimenting. Have patience growing is a series hurry up and wait processes.

Use a decent potting soil, it doesn't have to be the expensive stuff from the hydro store but don't get the cheap topsoil either, get a decent potting mix.

Fresh air and ventilation are important to keep the plants healthy.

Let the plants tell you what they need. Its better to underfert than overfert.

K.I.S.S.

...and ABUSE (sounds strange I know) but lets not forget that the erb is a plant, a plant that be a weed, a weed be a natural born survivor. Play on this factor

"Treat them mean, keep them keen" don't feed until they tell you they need a feed,,,(open ya eyes and ya mind to the world of weed)... get to know your plants, and they WILL get to know you! :D

jah bless,
peace dL :joint:

I give thanks to the ganja gods when I plant a bean.
I ask for the wisdom to make sure the bean can fulfill its full potential and not waste the energy that has already been put into it.
I just take the time to stop and think of how that bean came to be and try to realize that others may have put many hours into the parents of the bean etc etc. Not just the energy of that one bean. The bean is the result of energy from multiple sources.
Say I use worm castings. I try to realize the energy of the worms & the people who grew them.
Maybe the plant is in a pot. People had to tap the oil to make the fuel and plastic and these people have mum and dads who had to come before them all to make this plant pot to hold the plant and support it.

Its just one huge complex spider web of interlocked energy that I just happen to be a part of. But what happens to that bean from here on only I can be responsible for. I just try to realize that this branch of energy can either end in my hands of thrive and continue on.

If you do that you will grow buds like that <----- :canabis:

That bud is from the first plant I grew. With a measly 400w I might add.

Just realize the enery in everything. Realize that you had no control of the energy before it came to you and you will have no control after.

Realize your place and do your best. Everything you touch will turn to gold. Your whole life will change
