Trichome Maturity Question

Hi growers,
I snapped a picture of some trichomes off a sativa dominant hydrid and I am not sure if they are half clear/half cloudy or more cloudy/amber. I know it's really hard to judge from my picture but what would be your analysis of the maturity? Thanks for your help.

Hi,
The camera is a canon PowerShot A700. The lens is 5.8-34.8 mm with 6x zoom capability. My knowledge of camera settings and language is nil so I had to do a lot of playing around. If you snap a few pictures on different settings, eventually you will find one you like. If I still had the instruction booklet, my understanding of the settings and what their function would be a lot better.

Agree with what gene said.

Camera and lens used please. Looking for something capable of the pic you just posted.

Gene nailed it ....very rare does one plant go all white, amber, or cloudy all at once, ...but really is like an apple tree, with most the fruits(flowers) exposed to the sun will mature first, those that get little or less light with be the most immature ....good luck

I don't own a pc or laptop whereas I can plug most modern cameras directly into my iPad. Plus I like to take pics beyond my garden.

After a bit more research, his model doesn't support directly plugging into an iPad so I guess that's out as well.

Thanks, what's the best way to dry a sample nug for the best taste and smell? By the way, how do I add to your reputation?

I'd recommend freeze drying for this purpose because it is much faster. There are several threads on this subject. My opinion is that freeze drying can hurt the smell and taste a small bit, but if your concern is potency, this is a good way to check.
