Trich Loss question?

I have notcied throughout the years that during the final weeks of flowering lets say the second to last week of flower the fan leaves and buds will be LOADED with trichs but the bud is not fully mature.
Now after it finishes the last week of flowering it seems like it has lost trichs off the fan leaves and seem to loose some trichs from the buds also...
Is this normal or have i been doing somthing wrong all these years?
Either way the bud is always killer tho...so thats why i dont know if its regular or not.

I think it is just the natural changes in the plant as she matures. I never equated it to trich loss.

...the leaves and calyxes will keep growing and the trichome amount doesnt keep up

generally this happens when the plant goes too far into flowering
-check maturity by trichomes not hairs

Ya i do both...and it seems like im going to have to find a happy medium...
But like i said its still really nice smoke....

Now if i let it go 6 more days the bud will be more dense and more definded if u no what i mean....

I dont know if i should start harvesting this strain at 55 days instead of 60-65 days...

Makes a pro like me second guess my knowledge....lol

being able to take note of these things and address them as real problems, is a sign of knowledge and experience, not the other way around.

newer growers generally tend to be the ones that take less note of these details

Thanks bro....ya its just i got everything else down to a f'in T you know?
And this is the 1 thing that has always made me ponder....
So now since 2 days ago it was 8 days from when i would normally harvest i took down 1 plant....
Then a day ago i took down 2...
And today i took down 3....
And i got 8 more to take down and my normal harvest date for all of em would be the 1st of each month...
So im takin em down this time at different points in time to see exactly which is the best...
Right now the shit i took down almost 48 hrs ago is looking the best SO far...
but only time will tell =]

Its Mandalas Sadhu and ive been running the Pheno for so long and always harvested on the exact date u know?
But ya, ill let yall no
But so far the winner in my eyes and what i can tell w/o the dried and cured product is 5-6 days early which would make it an 55-56 flowering day pheno...
But ya i should have the results in, in about a week or two

I'm actually doing something similar myself on this run, it's my first run with clones and I really want to get to know the strain, I've never flowered it out before. This is what I'll be doing this run and I look forward to seeing how she likes it most. This is my post explaining my plan for them...

I'm flowering Blockhead right now, and it's my first time, but I've got three cuts going. I'm going to finish all three slightly differently, and since they're very similar sized cuts, I should be able to see which of the three finishes it reacts best to. What I'll be doing...

Plant 1 - Feed normally, flush for 2 days, harvest at 65 days
Plant 2 - Feed normally, flush for 1 week, harvest at 63 days
Plant 3 - Feed normally, flush for 2 weeks, harvest at 70 days.
(Plant 2 and 3 are in the same container, this seemed the best way to get two different results from one container)

I've had a few different pieces of advice from people that have grown this strain before, so I'm putting them all to use and see which one works best with my situation. I get to see a variety of harvest times, as well as I'll get to see how this particular cut reacts to a flush, ranging from 2 days to 2 weeks. I'm sure for people with larger grows it's a much larger task to keep track of everything, but you can find out so much more with each run. I think it will help my grows in the future, that's why I'm doing it.

I'm only running 3 cuts, just think if you ran 20 cuts and treated them each differently in one single way. I think you'd learn what your cut likes very quickly.

I think when i flush i "cheat"
Cuz i still hit em up with some organic fox farm cha ching and sweet....
If i didnt do that would my smoke be smoother?

I'm not sure, I've got no experience with either product. I think I've seen people mention flushing with Sweet, but the Cha Ching? Doesn't sound much like a flush to me, but what do I know?

I'll be flushing with maple syrup made in my home state. In my opinion, a flush is either straight water or water with a natural source of sugars, such as molasses or maple syrup. If you can you should try a few different types of flushes to see which you like best. If you really want to have the best variety you can, give water curing a shot too, just to see how it compares.

Omg is it a big difference....
It comes out alot more green, with less red hairs covering everything, and tastes better and the high is def. not so couch lock....
Its a better high, better looks better everything!

So its looking like a 55 day Mandala Sadhu...
Ahh and the faster it is the better lol

And the bud is awesome....everyone neeeds to try Mandala....this is one case that the sang "you get what you pay for" is NOT True.

You get 10x what you really should, they are such an honest and great cmopany!
