Tri, quad, and penta nodal branching

Howdy all, so a few of my purple kush outdoor plants have started mutating at the 8th node. Started with tri node, next node was 4, now new node that's just opening up has 5 branch nodes. This is on 2 of 4 plants. The others are showing 3 on all new nodes. It's only on the mains, not the auxiliary branches. I have topped once at the 5th node, and wasn't planning on topping again. But curiosity asks, if I top this will I get 10 branches off 1? I know its probably a bad idea , as those will have way too much weight on 1 branch, and smaller buds. How about cutting a few off to clone, then topping later. At the very least I will top 1 branch just to see what happens. Probably on the runt. Will try to post pics of penta after work. Just found em last night, but here's others

Very nice. I suspect the ones with 5 will turn out fasciated. I've never had a 5 that didn't.

From the pics I have glanced at of fasciated colas, then I am totally fine with that, actually hoping for that. Is there any special needs, or cautions that come with plants of this nature? I have a bunch of these seeds from 2002, and am even surprised they grew, as they were lost in a non ventilated workshop since then. Only grew 4 in Hope's of 1 or 2 fems to provide my smoke for the winter, but now want to sow more, as all 4 show polyploidal growth. Also very frost tolerant, as since outside had 5 or 5 nights drop to 34°f and 1 night a few days ago go to 29. They haven't even blinked, while the rest of my garden died

The only note of caution would be humidity and mold. As you would expect of colas like that. Good luck to you, I love plants of that nature.

Thanks. It's my first of probably 100+. Not only that but all of this seed stash is showing it so far, so getting stoked for October. Especially the more I read, and see pics. Now just crossing my fingers for girls

Yeah, its crossed my mind, but I am pretty much guerilla growing in my own backyard because of the neighbors teenage kids. I totally think if they knew what was 100 feet away from them, they would find a way to RIP, and smoke a vegging plant in a heartbeat. Hiding spots are limited to 1-10 foot circle cut out of the center of a huge 12 foot high berry Bush. And a small greenhouse. Autos going in greenhouse in a few days. If this stock works out like I hope, I will find a way to keep it going down the line
