treetop growing advice

Me and my partner are doing an outdoor crop this year. Since I have rock climbing experience and he's a skilled arborist we have the skills and equipment to do a treetop grow also. Its hard finding info on how to go about doing this. I have a bunch of 5 gallon grow bags that I never used that I think ill use and some pullies for lowering the plants to water them. If anyone has any advice on how to get light into the trees what type of trees to use and anything else would be immensely helpful. Deciduous trees don't lose their leaves until late where I live and I haven't been able to find many healthy large cedars I'd trust to climb there is an area with some pines but my friend climbs trees with spikes and the pines are very tall branchless and narrow and don't seem very usable also. So we probably will put them in hardwoods instead of conifers like most people.

I have seen many threads about treetop growing over the years, but have yet seen anyone take it to harvest.

The closest one, was a grower that set his containers on a platform near the canopy, similiar to a Hawk or Eagles nest.

Just when I though he would take them to harvest, he disappeared for unknown reasons.

It would be great to see a grower complete a tree grow. keeping the upper canpy open sounds like the biggest challenge.

good luck

U probably didnt see it, but there alreadey is a treegrowing thread. Please use that one. Too many threads on the same subject is confusing i think. good discussions and many people willing to answer questions there. But i agree with you. I have yet to see a completed treegrow, so i will do my best to finnish one myself this year.

thx. later.

Man, that's certainly not my definition of very easy, but I'm properly impressed!
