Transporting Grow Equipment Across State Lines

If I need to travel up the east coast and I had a say $3k worth of lights, timers, fans, etc. could I get in trouble or have them confiscated if I got pulled over? I am sure they would get dogs, false alert (as there would be nothing in the vehicle), and then tear my vehicle apart but after finding nothing do they have to let me leave with everything?

This may be dumb question but I saw signs in S. Carolina that said

NO LITTERING
UP TO $1000 FINE
AND/OR PRISON

so it seems possible some states have draconian laws and weird shit going on. We've all seen deliverance. No offense to anyone from S. Carolina! I liked it there . for those that haven't seen it this guy:smile: runs into some weirdo rapists who tell him they want him to squeal like a pig yeah weird I know anyway they knock him down and hes like oh shit
