transplanting

hey guys, i was wonderin how i should go about transplanting my herb plants, theres 2 of them and they're about 2 and half feet tall. The distant between where they are now and where i'm putting them is about 250 yards, which i have to walk. I was thinking about digging them up keeping some dirt still attached and putting the roots in a trash bag then tying it at the bottom. Let me know, thanks

I'd dig them up with a good bit of mud around them the day after you water them then take that and tightly wrap a trash bag around the rootmass of them and put them in a backpack and just carry them on your back :wink:

I just put my 4 in the ground, had to drive 3.5 hours but it was worth getting my plants in thr ground. I had them in pots so that was easy, just stuck them in a rubbermaid container, slipped a trash bag around them stuck them in my car. One wilted a bit but a drink of water make it perk up after 15 min or so perfectaly.
