Hi all i was wondering how do y'all do it? Iv'e always filled the secondary container which is being transplanted into is filling it to the top and digging out with hands a hole then plant is transplanted add soil water such.... Recently i had a buddy show me a way where you just fill up a container to where the roots would start with the newly transplanted plant drop plant and just fill rest of way with soil and water and such. I might just be overthinking this, even though it is two different ways in my eyes. I wish i had some pics to actually show what I'm trying to ask y'all. Thanks and happy Sunday Funday

I like to plant them near the surface, with added mycorrhyzae in the bit of soil thats in the pot, then fill. If its s big pot you want it slightly pyramidal with the plant planted at the tip of the concave.

You can put the pot in the new pot and fill around it, water what you give it, take the pot out, take the plant out, put it in the new pot, should fit perfect. Water it in a little.

That was a problem in the past, I was transplanting to deep. into containers. I was worried about seeing massive roots on top soil but i guess its all good, Ill just add some mango mulch to the base of each plant if i start seeing roots

do it however you want..i fill container enough so that old container sets in even with top of new container ..remove plant from old container and plant ..backfill with soil..after a few you can estimate how much you need to put in new container ...then it goes real fast...yeehaw
