I am getting ready to transplant my girls into 3 gallon grow bags and flip them to flowering cycle.
I have fimmed and LSTed my girls, but the clones I got from a friend are stretched a bit.
Would it be allright to bury the clones a little deeper to shed some height?
Yes that would be fine but be aware that you may end up wasting a portion of your soil as the roots cannot grow upwards...that's why I plant mine about 1 inch above the soil when transplanting so the roots have maximum surface area to spread.
Helps alot if you build up a nice rootball before transplanting also.
Sounds like youre in soil??? Its been awhile since my soil growin' days, but yes, you can always transplant a tall clone or seedling deep. The buried stem will actually grow roots over time, and make a healthier plant in the long run, provided you dont overwater and cause stem rot, or dampening off underground in the first 2 wks until the buried stem can grow roots. Good luck.
I wouldnt scrape or use rooting hormone its not necessary. When I plant seedlings especially I leave an inch on top with no soil so after the seedling stretches I'll have some room to put more soil in to support the stalk better
I wouldn't scrape either.....The roots will grow anyway.
I noticed this the first time I transplanted a plant where I had put a layer of hydroton pebbles on top of the soil. When I took them off I noticed roots have grown on level with the hydroton pebbles and I've put some soil over them.
