Transplant and feeding Q

Hello all.

I've got three indica bagseed I've been slowly transitioning into flowering for about two weeks. They've been on thirteen hours of light for about a week and I'm going to switch it to 12/12 tommorrow.

My Q is, If I transplant them tommorrow, what should I give them? Just some Superthrive by itself, a grow/bloom nutrient combo, just bloom nutes, or a little bit of everything?

any advice is appreciated. thanx

From my limited (time growing organic) knowlege of organic ganja farming, I belive that Jiggy is correct. I use the ewc, molasses,Liquid Karma, and mike. The addition of the myc (mike) should do wonders. There will be one of the resident Wisemen(woman) to chime in. :joint:

Thanks for the advice. You guys/gals are right about the supathrive not being totally organic, but I love it sooo much.
I'll try ur methods out, they sound pretty sweet.
One more question, whats "ewc".

when i transplant i put a little bit of bone meal in the hole where the transplanted plant/rootball will sit. peace

it depends also on your soil mix, eh?

i mean if a nice douse of dechlorinated water will get your mix 'acting' up, no need to feed.

otherwise if your mix is lacking active material (ewc,mycorrhizae,blood/bone, guano..etc) you should hit it with a nice tea as recommended above.

keep it GREEN bro.

ps- i like the implication of slowly kicking down the lights (13 hrs)

have you noticed a more gradual stretch? maybe less stretch?

i might experiment : 18/6 2 weeks 14/10 2 weeks 12/12 the rest o the way.

I feel that a slower more gradual process of cutting back the lighting helps out alot.
Naturally, outside the hours of light reduce very slowly throughout the season.
Also, the plants constantly recieve different amounts of light as the season changes.
This means two things. First, the switch from 18/6 to 12/12 suddenly overnite must be rough for them. Second, they aren't recieving proper photoperiod during part of the grow.

I know this is not possible for every growers' setup, but if applicable, try it out.
Experiment with different lighting schedules and see what works best for your setup and strain. I 've noticed the transition into flowering alot smoother, less stretch, good female to male ratios.
I know this is off topic but its an interest of mine.
Thanx for the continued feedback.

Actually Ive read that its quite the opposite if you want a seemless no stretch transition and the plants are gonna start bud production right away you should put them in total darkness for 48 hours b4 the switch to 12/12.This builds the flowering hormones up in the plant and makes flowering start much sooner. This method works the best on pure sativas, sativa indica hybrids and plants started from seed that may not be sexually mature enough to start the flowering process.

Not at all to say your method is wrong as I find it quite interesting and the fact that your getting a smooth transition is awesome. As far as the nutes are concerned.Mycohoorizae at transplant is one of the most helpful, beneficial things you can do for a plant.I like the superthrive too it also seems to keep the plant from stressing. If you have been slowly cutting the lights back Id say use strictly the bloom from here on out.During the plants slow progression into flowering I wouldve continued to give it some grow ferts but now that your fully switching her over Id say go bloom only. Most of todays bloom ferts contain enuff n to get the plants through the flowering cycle.Hope this helps ya,Peace Gromerr Pott!!!

I used to cut down the light schedule in block of 1/2 hour each day , I also cut down the lights to 10hrs at the end of flowering, I like to experiment.
Now I just flip em, they are clones so no males anyway and they finish a little quicker.
A slow light reduction schedlue is great for scrog, it helps fiill the screen before budset.

Keep Trying new stuff,

PS

I like to water with a light tea of ewc, liquid kelp, and molasses to get the soil biology working overtime, mychorizal products are something i swear by.
