get with it mate, transhumanism isnt about having a fucking pacemaker fitted, its something entirely different, though when it comes to artifical limbs, the returning cannon fodder are being used in the transhumanist agenda to put a nice face on it like they always do - oooh lets help the disabled, fit a brainchip help a spaz cos of course DARPA just love the disabled and poor veterans. That's their raison d'etre aint it?

In my view, transhumanism is a logical consequence of applying the knowledge of evolution into the actual human/technological condition. As an ideological position today, it promotes the evolutionary leap in the merging of humans and computing power, which is already happening only that we still have to use our sensory organs to have some kind of information bridge with computers.
Many can remember the times with no personal computers, only analog technologies and switches and stuff.
How does the world look today?

In a person's lifetime, the technology regarding communications leaped and pulled the entire human-related world with it.
It's not hard to imagine how things could change in 20 years(remember 1994!).

I think transhumanism is kind of natural, as strange as it may sound.
