Not sure about the'wreck, but it seems like most of my grows have stretched for about 21 days or so... across the board strain wise. Some of the more sative stuff, like some diesel I once grew just never stopped stretching. Major headache!
I wopuld guess that you will see a slowing of that faster growth and significant budswell by beginning of fourth week.
when i ran her i tied the top down hard to stop the stretch , all the side arms grew past the main cola. They ended up yielding pretty well actually. I had to stop them stretching because they were next to some slow indicas. I know this doesn't really answer your question but im high and felt like responding .
well the reason i ask is im going to put a screen in for support. ive gotem topped to where they all have like at least 6-7 top shoots. this is the second time ive ran tw...last time was only 2 plants this time its 12....so i figured the best way to control the mad crazy viney stretch was a screen. so i figured installing a screen lil over half way through the stretch would be a good option.
i have never used a screen but i did top mine . they responded well to it. i think the same thing will happen . the sides will catch up ir exceed the main cola. The biggest nugs on mine actually came from the sides. Great smoke that TW. Hey anyone else notice its real expansive? also mine tastes great for most of the bowl but the last hit tastes real bad and harsh. HAs this happened to you>? maybe its my fault but i ran organic with a long flush??
wow, and i though i was the only one with a viney trainwreck... a limpy for sure, but outstanding yeild... i may go with a scrog next tim, i'm tired of seeing my buds hit the ground...
IMO, I wouldn't wait much more than a week of flowering--you want to make sure the canopy fills out the screen, right? The arcata cut grows vigorously and its viney nature makes it a great scrog candidate--I wouldn't worry too much about training early...
