The first run in the bucket took some time to get rolling due to soil and other issues. This Male NL#5 x C99f2 did not mind at all once he got moving..
First picture is of him on day 1 of 12/12
Last 2 are chop pictures of 17 days 12/12

Now, for the latest victim.... A believed to be female NL#5 x C99f2 . She went in the bucket last night and will spend the next week adjusting/vegging before 12/12 switch.

Thanks for following along

4 days in and no change except she lost some lower leaves.... something about the soil just not drying out that fast. She was watered on day 1 and still looks moist... slow start

Mr. Sparkle

i've been thinking about doing a "space" bucket for the last while, but was gonna use a 2 gal inside two 5 gals double stacked and cut like yours, just to create some light blocks and to act as a removable tray, but i keep coming back to i don't need another grow space/box/container.

Ill be watching this thread forsure ;)

The original idea was it would be a great place for breeding, well separated from my current grow and is VERY portable if needed.

The male that ran first was a NL#5xC99f2 and this is hopefully a female of the same. Beans will be made and no worries of 10 other plants getting hit with pollen.

More soil/root space would have been great, but vertical height and air flow are more important. There is no interior fan moving air around the plant, so it helps not getting close to the sides. The soil container was setup to have a res built in and a good watering on the male would hold for 3 days. Hopeful for the same here, but daily is fine since I am there daily, lol

Thanks again for the visit.

Thanks for tagging along. I will be testing my short term pollen storage on this lady soon. Atleast I will know for sure the origin of the seeds, unlike in my flower box where I pollinated 1 and a week later started seeing herms from other plants. So no telling whats cooking now, lol...

Dont feel bad my friend i think we've all had a little unathorized breeding happen with our ladies. I can admit ive found some seeds i had no hand in makeing in my garden that ended up growing out fantasicly.

I had good luck storing pollen buy simply shakeing it onto some aluminum foil then losely wrapped it up and stored it in my freezor i think it was atleast 6-8months before i used it with success.

Thanks for posting the thread real cool idea...

Thanks Stonehedge! Somewhere I ran across the term "Space Bucket" on this site, did some research and seemed like the perfect cheap little setup. 25 bucks later, this was born, lol..

Here we are today, 10 days of flower. Not much training to be done, she is going to run from here til I see bleaching.

Thank SH! Size is not so much a concern on this grow as completion is. This lady is getting dosed with pollen from a NL#5 x C99 male in a week, and that is what this bucket is for.

Last time I tried to pollinate a plant, I was an idiot, ended up dusting half my grow from 1 q-tip of pollen. Not again!!!

Yeah figured growing to harvest in a 5gal grow room not about yeilding lol.

Do u try to keep the tops seed less?

I have pretty good luck buy dusting when no air movement waiting a few hrs then rinse with water.

Update? She dusted yet? Still sharing pics?

No dusting yet but will go after the lowest buds when i do. I flip flopped for a moment with the idea but 20 seeds dont eat that much bud up. Lol

For me, no its not about yield but I am building 3 more of the bucket sets this week for friends. And for them it will be. I do weekly inspections on the ones they have running and consult best i can. 2 harvests and no more visits but still consult... Helluva deal for 30 a bucket, lmao for them anyway....plus i supply the clones for their runs....

Mr. Sparkle

Your buddies will enjoy it, hopefully they will get bit by the growing bug, or at least stay interested in it for awhile anyways

Bit? They are infested with it and being fed on like they were bedbugs!!

1 has 2 buckets, with one just on flower a week and the other filling a screen. The other has one, still filling. Both will have 3 buckets when said and done and monthly chops for as long as i can supply clones.
