topping a side branch

first, i did search for this topic, no match by title
and not much in the good sticky on topping, bonsai, etc.

i have a very stretchy girl in a micro chamber, about 3 weeks in 12/12, pistils are showing
grow chamber is a tube, 38 inches of head room, 16 in diameter, 78w of cfl
i've grown out about a good 30 plants so far in this chamber, various genetics, mostly good harvests
have done lst, super cropping, and topping before

topped her at 2 weeks, not going to enough i can see
so the thought of topping the top most side branches has occurred to me
made sense to me, but a sanity check never hurts

I stop training once flowering starts, so are you asking will it be OK to train into flowering?

that was my original idea
however, i think i may just sneak by with the current situation
i see most opinions are not to cut during flower

If the opportunity presents itself and doesn't pose a lose you can't stomach. DO IT.
This is how we learn.
Let that girl put her power to flower not to the root so much during that time. Good luck.

thanks for the vote of confidence
what i have noticed during a few accidents that even damage during flowering can be offset by adjacent growth
but i think i'm good, a close call in grow chamber filling up

I don't cut anything in flower except for lower branches that would only make popcorn...I wouldn't be cutting an area I wanted to flower out without some recovery time in veg....yeehaw

The only thing I cut in flower is all the lower branches off before and after the 2 week stretch. You can top anything, but keep in mind the point of topping, is to not only increase yield, but to let the other branches catch up. You don't want to top your side shoots if they're not at the top of the canopy already.
