I live very near..

I live in a canyon near Topanga, it's a great place to live.

It's a Great place to drive my Porsche.

They have the Hippy Hoedown every summer, otherwise known as Topanga Days.

Fun place any particular questions I could answer?

 I own my house

REO Speedwagon did a tune long ago about moving to California. It's said Topanga Canyon can make you want to do that. It's a pretty famous spot in rock and roll & hippie history.

That's Funny...

That's Funny...

Way back when I was in the Army a guy who I hung with, his brother was in REO Speedwagon.

His last name was Mendenall, we raised hell, F.T.A !

Topanga used to be full on Hippied out. As home prices have gone way up, it has changed.

Used to be the Sheriff at the hoedown could care less if you smoked weed. Now just like everywhere else, they think they are enforcers.

Peace

thank you, was there for the first time in 30+ years recently. just as nice as I remembered. Home prices aren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be, NYC area is far more expensive. Have a child going to a college nearby and my wife and I are looking to downsize our life. Topanga looks to be the perfect place to do that. Sadly, going to have to miss Topanga Days which is coming up soon..........

When it rains - which is not often ... the rain is so hard, and long that it brings mudslides

If you live in a home at the bottom of the canyon - watch out

I lived on old Topanga road in the olden days , as far as L. A. goes , about the only place with a layed back country vibe , tranquil place , then the yuppies and movie folks started moving in , old vibe started to diminish , grew a lot of cannabis , true,, floods can be a problem, had my bridge over the creek wash away , had some good wild fires too , good surfing spot at the coast . had great fun . A beautiful peaceful spot back then ,

Back from the Desert..

Back from the Desert..

Was out Gold Prospecting.. Didn't find much good to be back.

I came back unpacked took a nice hot spa and took a nap.

Good to be back. It should be in the mid seventies in the canyon this week.

Peace

Topanga Canyon is ok if you have a pool. Anywhere north of the 210 between the 5 and the 71 is chill for the most part. Each day topanga canyon gets more and more yuppie with once artistic creative women who've convinced their corporate sheep of a husband that the commute won't be so bad and that she'll be able to express herself finally, just like she always wanted while daydreaming during Art Appreciation in college.

That's what I've found to be most common during my recent real estate appraisals in the area. Good luck finding some chill digs for you and the wife sutra.

It's also good to own a Porsche, like my 911 Carrera Cabriolet :woohoo:

It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood  I'll be in the pool after I do some volunteer work this morning.

The Mexican Place is very good.

There is Inn of the Seventh Ray - very good vegetarian food.

On the creek

Best of luck
