Good morning evryone :tiphat:

I want to grow in a grow box 1x1x2 800w hps lamp with good ventilation and verry good cool tube but i have a qustion..

Here in greece if you run with 600w ventilation and fans the electic bill come about 60 euros more..
But i am thinking to run with 800w x2 - 2 grow boxes with 800w each one and verry powerfull ventilation
The electic bill will come much much more if i use this method and the police pay anttention at the high electic bills and then they search the house for illigal grows.
I want to avoid this and i am thinking to use generator in a silent soundprouf box is that a good idea ?

if someone is able to help me or have a better idea to tell me i will be gratefull..:)

thank you..:tiphat:

Car battery hookup instead of a gas generator in a house.

Solar panels? maybe it would be cheaper to store solar energy?

I seen a show on Discovery where a doomsday bunker had a exercise bike hooked up to a generator.

Maybe even go hard and use a wind turbine to generate electricity also?

You can do 2 things.... first off you can buy a hydro system so your yielding more grams per watt of light used.... you should also look into LED lights as they produce much less heat and therefor you don't need as much ventilation and cooling, also I think that for small grows like this LEDs provide a very nice yield. You said 1x1x2 I'm guessing thats meters? If so you can spend about 250 euros on a 300watt LED to match that space. Good luck!

buy a hydro system? who does that

Not everyone has the knowledge or desire to build a system from scratch.... its a little overpriced but you can buy a plug and play system online and avoid the headaches of dialing in a homemade system, prob more user friendly for a 1st timer

I would add that while it is possible to build an Autopot system using only Aquavalves that are purchased from the manufacturer and build out the rest with Home Depot/Wal-Mart sourced items -- not many experienced hydro growers would do that.

To be fair, Autopot systems are not usually the first (or even third) system which springs to mind when using the term "hydro".

While it certainly is fair on a site like ICM to consider most hydro systems as custom DIY built, there are a large number of new growers who buy them and are well served by a packaged system.

There's enough to worry about growing hydroponically for many first timers without wondering about whether your seals are going to leak or if you got the right size hose...
