Too Late?

I have a plant that is 5 weeks into flower, I'm going to pull the lower shoots and try to put them back in Veg state while sitting in root hormone and 24 light, by the way the shoots I want to pull already have white hairs, any comments?

I just cloned an ECSD that looked like a lolipop with a big bud on this small bottom stem.It works ive done it many times,if you need to keep a strain then go for it Bro.It will take a little longer and even after it gets roots in the dome it will go into re veg for a bit too,(youll get freaky leaves for a bit but no worries)so keep it under 24hrs light til yer ready to do whatever.Good luck Bro.Keep it frosty,RMM

I have taken clones off budded plants in the past to save their genetics and have had luck. I would take a few as not all will root if they have been in bud long, and expect to wait a long time before you see any roots. The best way is to reveg the plant, and then when you notice new growth then take a cutting. I have found that to be the easiest and most effective way. Also, keep in mind the plant will grow strange for the first while until it starts to look normal again. This is normal. Good luck!

Good advice there for sure, you want to start out with a good viable "veg" cut with normal fan growth, pistilless cuts from the revegged plant are also preferred if you plan to veg any length of time before flowering. You want the energy spent on a vegging plant producing foliage, not pistils

i personally think they clone a little better when they have a few hairs started. I usually see roots on those first for some reason. could be just with the strain im using or something though

When doing SOG,my reseach indicates 2 weeks into 12/12 to be about optimum for most strains,I realize many do SOG with mother plants and "veg" cuts. The reasoning behind this is when going directly into a 12/12 photoperiod with cuts, the partially hormonally changed pistilled cuts will give you a jump start and result in a better yield. This is not from experience although it makes perfect sense to me.If you plan on vegging a week or more, then "veg" cuts that have never seen a 12/12 photoperiod are preferred

i think you have a 50/50 chance here.
take multiple clones so you have a better chance of getting at least one to root for ya.

I'll keep you peeps posted, and take a poll on how many peeps remember this thread and who really gives a shit........lol Thanks everyone for your participation.
