Too close to light

I got a journal running but I need answers kind of fast so I'll try here as well.

My Blue Cheese were overvegged for my grow area, they are now growing very close to my vented hood. The closest ones are like 5 inches from it.

Here's my question: Should I be pre-emptive and do some supercropping on the ones that are too close to the light, evening out the canopy. Or maybe try tying them to the sides so that they don't sit directly below the light (this would of course bring more light to lower buds as well)? Or should I just wait and see if it will be a problem at all?

You can find my journal here: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=253362

And the post with pictures here: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=5719228&postcount=124

Thanks in advance!

I don't use a/c hoods anymore, but when I did I never had a problem with my plants being that close to the lamps ....matter of fact a couple of times I've had buds grow right up on the glass ...still had no probs! My room was on the cool side though, I'm running open hoods on a mover and my 1k lamp gets as close as 10" middle to end of bloom with no signs of stress. They should be just about done stretching by now but if they are showing signs of heat or light stress/bleaching I'd tie em down ....I don't like clipping or cropping plants after they start budding, tying down is less stressful at this stage imo.

Temperature in the room is below 80F, same with temp below canopy. Canopy temp is hotter though (no way to measure it...)
