Tons of White specs.

Hey guys im sorry for no pic but i thought we could do this on description.

i just got 6 clones from a buddy. 4 different kinds. All had the same thing wrong with them.

They were getting pale green and have tons of little white specs on them. Its not a bug no mites nothing is eating them.

Some plants are worse then others there all small and in beer cups atm. I dont really know what else to say. They are not being light bleached it allmost looks like he sprayed something on them and it bleached out the leaves. I dont know anyone else had this happen?

I know you said there isn't anything eating them but it sure sounds like Spider Mites.

Check really carefully on the under side of the leaves. they are super tiny little white specks.

If you have them get some Neem oil. I have used Dr Einstiens (sp?) and it works really really well.

it does sound like mites...all clones from outsiders go into quarantine with me...no pics...are the clones rooted? did he spray them with something...look at the underside of the leaves with a magnified glass for moving specs..lol

Trust me its not mites man ive battled mites for 2 years i know all the signs and would of spotted them out instantly. Its almost if they got foilor sprayed with something that kind of bleached it out started to turn brownish white.

No curling of leaves no little white specs that can be washed. a couple of the clones are so spotted if it was mites it would have the plant webbed up and hanging from the cieling.

Ill be over there tomorrow to check on them again i really dont think it has anythign to do with them because that was the first thing i thought of mites. Then i looked i didnt see nothign under leaves no webs no curling leaves.

That's weird. It sounds like mites, but if you know what you are looking for and you have for sure eliminated mites or other pests as the problem could it possibly be that they received a foliar spray under HID lighting and the droplets of water magnified the lighting causing burns. What about a ph problem or a virus? Not really sure without seeing it. Then again, I might not be sure if I did see it. Best of luck figuring out the problem.
Peace, Mr.M

I agree sounds like mites, check the undersides of your leaves, but I trust in you if you say you've battle them, but question is... did you win? It possibly could be a nute burn on the leaves, is it just on 1 leaf or many leaves? Can you post pictures? maybe its powdery mildew, who knows we need to see pics.

the green color sounds as if its a defficiancy of some sort.

I had bleech dots everywhere on that side of my room.

Powdery Mildew will show in patches not little specs.

Do the specs look like the specs left by mites but mites are not present?

Is it possible that the mothers had mites which were exterminated but the specs remain on the veg?

Are the specs appearing on the new growth since you have acquired them?

You should consider inspecting these with a magnifying glass.

Next time I suggest you buy a scope. Rather it be an issue with the mites or judging when to harvest based on the maturity of the trichomes it's always good to have one. Plus they are only like $20 lol.
