Very sweet and overwhelming. Ive smoked a shitload of fine imported thai and grown a few plants in the past that all had this same very recognisable sweet smell and taste. Like all known terps and tastes together.

in the seedsman i smell many combined smells, chocolate, grapefruit, leather, wet wool, mint but with that hazey piney smell that tends slightly more towards the parsnip than pine.
in the posi haze i smell citrus and leather, metal, mango, lavender but not pine so far, nor parsnip
grew out many Thai seed from sticks in 70’s-early 80’s…Santa Cruz mtns…we called it the lemon Lyme disease …. as ojd describes, but being so far north could never get that true Thai high….

Mac got his "haze" from Golli which is from the banks back in the day, I have a bag of them too prior to all the additional work...... BUT It's still just haze with additional selections along the ways, personally I think Toms haze got a wee bit of DC in it along the ways but that talk in here is Blasphemy but I still hold that opinion having grown all of them..... in the end, again whom cares, grow them out select the ones you love, too much haze nostalgia and not enough folk growing & selected on them, keeping them as open as possible without continuing their terrible inbreeding depression by selfing single plants......

thai traits are also mango had one thh very similar to mango laos i have a mango laos x thh2 cross cut i like to ,,,just put in to flo will post when she gets goin ,,,
dont think golli only source of macs haze,, jonny chicago to,, iseem to remember two or 3 sources in the mix of his release

Thinking about that thai influence now at least in the Amsterdam scene haze crosses and such, many had that thai smell&taste, still have. Tom's was very different and I really love to see him work thai into his haze. I believe that his haze was/is from before the thai was introduced but what do I know. I had both DC and THH back in the day, didnt see any signs of them being mixed back in 2006 or so but who knows. Who cares. All the hazes I have grown have been different but same in so many ways. Perfect. Lovely sativas. Even the shitty ones.

correct I just know what happened well before any sales took place BUT all lead back to the same banks though was more my point - i.e. they aren't holding some magical 1960/70's Haze beans they bulked but beans bought from the banks in the 90's/00's & passed @.... that said Mac later had his visits with Sam so whom knows what Sam had, I do know every time anyone visited Sam he loved to bust out that huge ziplock full of seed, I'm pretty sure that didn't lengthen their longevity... That said If SamS still had the magical quality haze seed from the 1960's/70's he would have sold them years ago after doing a proper bulking, IMO, it only makes sense....
Interesting tidbit, some folk involved in this story the first time they EVER made seed was within the past 7 years, be careful whom you hold on a pedestal and the hype attached to cannabis seeds, always....

As long as it's not lazyass S1's to tired old clones just for the money it's good in my book.
Lots of variety to be found within the different haze lines and traits that maybe can be fixed and it's such lines i would buy from seed, irrespective of the length of time someone has been making seed.
What is more important to me is seeing evidence that the seed maker is actually trying the product of their seeds and unless reproducing a line is actually working towards something... A specific trait or actual nuanced high.

Looks like about 50/50 male to female ratio on my THH grow. A little higher for the males than what I expected

I'll be using everything for the first seed increase, I don't want to be bottlenecking the line. I have the males separated for now until they all start dropping together then I'll give the girls a good dusting
Maybe later I'll reveg the boys and hit them with florel and do some selection for a "Superhaze"
I also have beans from a couple of other sources I might do another separate line later...
