You mean those ugly PGR buds like these?
I never tried these but they do look awful lol. I don't miss the days of having to trust someone else 's standards when it comes to nutrient products and pesticides.

It's not the trim job, it's the nutrients they use to grow buds like these that look like rocks. They call these nutrients PGR and if I'm not mistaken they mess with the hormones of the plant which makes the buds grow like that.Is this cannabis???

Trimming and tumbling will knock a bud down to a lump.
PGRs will do the same to a degree.
My opinion is that as long as it's been machine trimmed it's garbage.

Oh yes, this. Heard of this stuff a while ago...
Lucky for me that i'm a grower and never have to try this sh!t.
They use this stuff to manipulate the hplants' hormones to mess with their growth patterns, to make them easier to harvest, or to produce more fruit in less space, etc. If I understand correctly it's just a growth inhibitor and its purpose it's to prevent stretching as much as possible which I guess is what gives those buds this broccoli appearance. I always knew broccoli had to be evil in some way

I guess PGRs are in some nutrients and additives and not being advertised or labeled.
Using machine trimming strips the flowers of a lot of resin. Makes them look round, un natural.
I have tried it in the past and I can confirm it's not fake. (And no I didn't sold them afterwards).

My neighbors are from the LP and gave me some "nugs" they brought back UP here from down there. Taste and smell was there but it was a boring and short lived high. I didn't even ask what the strain was.
Edited to add: Saw the same kind of stuff from a shop in northern Colorado in 2018. Guy I knew was thrilled to buy that bunk for $90 an ounce.

Pgr's are in a quite afew bloom boosters without being listed on the label....Some of them are abit more simple like auxins and g3a ect....but some are known to potential be dangerous to animals and humans, those are usually the growth retardant types...
You see alot of those pgr buds in the legal industries now with no listings or warning labels....dense like rock buds with hardly any leaf materials...usually with a lot more orange hairs than normal or with a orange tint to the bud...similar look regardless of strain....the legal industries are flooded with buds like this...

I vacuum seal and freeze my weed, and it mostly recovers its shape after a couple of days. It does alter the appearance somewhat but it doesn't alter the growth pattern of the flowers as you can see in the PGR buds pictures. Buds are so packed with calyxes that they look smooth on the outside.
vacuum packing done right should not impact how the flowers look. Never draw down the vacuum so that it causes the flowers to be crushed. There should be some air left in the bag like a pillow.
